😱 Chef!!!

Honestly, anyone that rolls with me'll be safe. House by the lake with barred windows and doors, lotsa guns, survival gear and a boat. ✅

Mine says 49%, but I didn't like some of the answers.

I would plan a boat trip to an uninhabited Pacific island because it is less likely that someone would go to that island than say, an Atlantic island. Much more travel occurs over the Atlantic than does the Pacific. It is more likely that people will flock to and inhabit any Atlantic island as opposed to a Pacific Island. Also, the Island I choose would be less likely to encounter hurricanes than the Atlantic island.

I have very few Windows in my dwelling and only one door, minus the garage door.

I have tall fence wooden fence, without gaps, surrounding the majority of my property, as well.

The children would be a negative, and so would the wife, as they are, the three of them, weak and slow. Seriously. But I have double the strength of the average man...and probably then some, so I can make up for it.

However, I may have a hard time staying alive for a long period of time as I am so far inland. If it's something like 28 days later, then I could easily survive it out.

The test also doesn't take into consideration the individual's ability to kill someone before they "turn." I wouldn't hesitate as it would have been discussed from the onset that that's how we would things in my small group.

2 sets of eyes is always better than one if you're working together... It's not all about strength.

I never said it was. My neighbor and his roommate would be part of my little group. 🙂

78%

haha, i'd be willing to increase my party size and let some of you roll with me if you have low percentages, although not too low, because i don't want your low percentage bringing down mine

I got 95%. I explain every question and answer, below. Read if you're interested in the reasons. I marked all the ones I answered for myself as "truth."

Primary Source of News:

NPR - (Truth...but my sources also include the internet, off-air channels, and cable news.)

How often do you seek out the news, or other sources on current events?

All the time. (Truth)

Which profession

Doesn't matter which one you choose. White collar is mine.

Which special skills?

Select first three for the best. (Truth for the first three. Eagle Scout, military tactics training (including urban warfare..fer realz), martial arts training in more than 5 areas, etc.)

Which of the following best describes your experience with firearms?

Professional (Truth.)

Physical condition?

Excellent (Truth)

Describe living situation:

Doesn’t matter which one you choose as long as it isn’t "urban high income." (Truth)

Describe your location in terms of one of the following?

Midwest works. Great Plains is better. Rocky Mountains is even better. Western states is best. (I am Midwest...or great plains, depending on how you want to define it. I'll go with greatplains since I am significantly into the great plains area by some measures.)

Which of the following best describes your domicile?

Single story is worst. Multi-Story or Apartment works equally. I am single story.

Which of the following criteria for defensibility apply to your domicile?

Check mark all four. (I only qualify for the destructible entrance one.)

This one is one of the ones I disagree with, as far as the ability to adequately defend your home. Since most of my property is fenced off by a high fence, that is a much better defensive barrier than getting into the attic.

In addition, I only have one door into my place...with few windows.

Is the Domicile above the snowline?

Doesn’t matter which on you choose. I don't even know why this is an option.

If I were to choose, above the snowline is harder to survive in for both humans and zombies due to colder temperatures, lower oxygen levels due to the altitude.

But, on the other hand, it is more remote away from people and people are less likely to run up a mountain and live, as it's harder to do so. So I can see why, all around, it's a net change of 0.

Categorize your relationship with your neighbors.

Communal. (Partial truth. We share anything if asked and all of my neighbors know us, personally. My neighbors and most of the neighborhood are VERY tight knit. We know everyone and we watch each other's homes. Case in point, one of the residents chased off a teenage robber. He was checking all homes that were unlocked. We also have carpoolers.)

Where would you escape to on land if given the choice?

These choices work equally: Rocky Line, Southwest Desert, The Baja Peninsula. Canadian Arctic is the worst choice with Mexico being the second worst.

I would stick with great plains, simply because it's easier to see in all directions.

In a land Escape Situation, which of the following would be your mode of transit?

Bicycle. (I chose car...but after rethinking, bicycle is the best. Here's why: By foot seems unsafe at first, but it is much easier to hide and be quiet on foot. In the beginning, more people will rush to cars and other vehicles. Anything that ran on fossil fuels would become virtually useless as soon as all the gas is taken and used up. A motorcycle is not as safe as a care because it leaves you physically exposed. Hiding, quietly, is the best option and the best form of travel is a bike. The absurd vast majority would shun a bike because it requires physical labor to use. A mountain bike would be the best option. As long as you can feed off of the Earth and drink water, you can power the bicycle.)

Size of your survival party?

10 or fewer. (This is best. The larger the party, after 10, the more susceptible the group is to infection, due to the size. You also increase the likelihood of someone trying to lead or be troublesome...and then theirs the likelihood that someone will panic. The best group is a group of 10 or less, but greater than 4. Each member has to know the other, well, and has to be intelligent and selfless. Not all members need combat training, either.)

If planning an escape by sea, what would be the destination?

Cuba (I can see why this would be chosen as the best, but I disagree with it. They chose Cuba because it is the closest island with plenty of materials, that is the least likely to be chosen for refuge, as it's Cuba. Tasmania is #2 because it is another that people would not go to. However, Tasmania doesn't get the number 1 spot because of two reasons: there are a lot of poisonous life on that island, and it is very far away from the U.S...making the trip more difficult.)

Do you own a boat?

Yes. (I don't. Obviously, yes is a great option.)

What kind of Boat?

Sail Boat. (This is similar to the vehicle question. Something that doesn't require fossil fuels is the best. The large ocean boat is not a good option as it draws attention to you and makes you more likely to recieve panicked or people soon to turn into zombies. The best option is, again, the troublesome one. If you know how to use a sailboat, it is the best. Fewer people will know how to use it, it is harder to use, making it a shunned option by the panicked masses, and it's not huge, deterring people from wanting to come aboard. Of course, this question fails to mention using discretion when talking about the boat. If you use discretion, it really doesn't matter what kind of boat you have.)

What kind of boat training do you have?

Pro and up works the same. (Truth. I've been in a couple of sailing competitions, as part of being a boyscout. In addition, I've done some competitive kayaking, row boating, etc.)

Do you live near the Ocean?

Doesn’t matter which one you choose.

Knowing how the test is broken down opens it up to scrutiny. It removes the superficial entertainment value and adds another dimension of evaluation: your own.

Rather than being the subject of evaluation, you become the evaluator of not only yourself, but of the test and the author/s of the test.

Knowing the results, can you now answer honestly, or have I tained the question pool?

Why would you read the entire thread before taking the test on your own? Is not the first 2 or 3 posts enough to satisfy that there is not "trap" in the link (Or any other form of trickery)? By reading further, you already already ruined the tests "newness" and it is you who ruined the test for yourself, not I. 😉

Dude, excellent physical condition? You told me you needed to lose at least 20 pounds haermm

These are relative. I would consider "excellent" a relative category. Since there are three categories, I assume it means less than or equal to 33% of the population for the lowest, greater than but less than 66% of the pupulation for average (which would be very close to correct), or greater than 66% of the population, when it comes to standard measures of physical ability. (Strength, speed, agility, measures against own body weight like situps and pullupts, etc.)

I probably fall closer to 99%, even being 20lbs too fat. 😐

You don't need a six pack to be in good physical condition. 😉

Everyone point and laugh at RJ because he doesn't know what the snowline is.

And, being really close to your neighbors is really important.

BTW, friendly /= friends.

I'm friendly to people in Wal-Mart.

Communal means you share things and help each other out without expectations of compensation. This would be very important during disaster times. You should BRT with your neighbors because you never know when it will be important to have a helping neighbor.

And, you don't want any vehicles that use fossil fuels.

And, you'd want to avoid cold areas as it reduces your chances of survival. A human surviving in the artic or antartic is almost none.

And how would being friendly with your neighbors increase your chances of survival? All it would accomplish is them saying "Well, he's dead, but man was he friendly." I would have my family to rely on and be with, **** my neighbors, buncha crack dealers.

Dude, my old man has a shitload of survival stuff, everything from tents to generators to cold weather gear. I know how to survive in the cold. I'd have all the survival gear one would need, firearms and ammo out the yazoo, ATV's, fishing poles, pretty much all I would need to survive. I can hunt, clean and cook an animal, same with fish.

And canned goods, the world will be in chaos, loot a grocery store for all the canned goods you need.

The test is complete bullshit. I'd say my odds of surviving depend entirely on me. If one knows what to wear in the cold, and can hunt/fish, surviving is easy.

BTW I know what a snow line is, but why is the question there?
