Which angered Palpatine more?
Do you think that the emperor was more angered by:
1. That Luke would not turn to the darkside?
2. That Luke threw down his Saber and refused to fight (very much)?
Was he hoping to get a new recruit more? Or was he unhappy that he had to fry a defenseless rat instead of a warrior?

He was angered Luke didn't turn...you could see he was enjoying killing Luke, he coulda killed him straight away but was making it slow and painful for him
