John McClane vs Predator

The question is: How did the Predator end up dangling from Glover's leg, yes?

Answer: Glover charged it while it was attacking high and they both went over the ledge, iirc.

-Glover got the disc after the Predator used it to kill the crazy and drunken Busey, in the meat locker. This was after it apparently killed the entire team, Glover charged in with his negro might and shot it, removed its mask, it awoke and was about to push Glover's shit in, when Busey reappeared and the Pred killed him with the disc.

But in this thread, isn't the Pred's helmet on and fully functional? Cuz the only reason Harrigan got the "jump" on the Pred was because it wasn't wearing it's helmet. Harrigan got to remove the Pred's helmet because he blasted him with a 12 gauge, Mac has nothing close too that sort of firepower.

I thought it was an active fight when Glover charged, but it was still looking at Busy's corpse when Glover charged. Seems this Predator is the moron of the bunch.

But as it relates to this thread, if Glover can knock it out temporarily with a gun, so can McClane. Except McClane's not going to bother with trying to cop-a-feel like Glover, he'll keep unloading into it. Then drive it over with an SUV, that happens to be on fire and near explosion.

No, McClane cant, he doesnt have a gun even close to the power than Glovers had.

It's like going sky diving with no chute.

The terrorists guns are MP5's, 9mm bullets. The Pred took a full clip from Harrigan's machine gun (which fired a MUCH larger bullet) AND 9 shotgun blasts......and kept going. No way Mac's tinny MP5 gets the job done here. Stop being a McClane fanboy and get real.

The pred hasn't got his special see in the dark or any of that, the pred just see's how he would normally see if he had no helmet on

The Pred's helmet has thermal vision, man, that means he will see Mac's heat signature and know where he is. If the Pred had it on that DARK rooftop in 2, Glover never would have gotten the drop on him.

Are you now taking away the Pred's helmet? Why not just tie his hands behind his back?

No he still has his helmet to protect his head/face just no other visions...only his own normal vision. He was able to fight glover just fine without it anyways and so did the first pred against Arnold

But the helmet hasn't been taken away here people...just the different cycle of visions that the predator has, it's broken or whatever...it has a virus perhaps but the pred still has his helmet...maybe Mac can knock it off and fire a few rounds into pred's face or summit

The Predator has no cloaking ability. The Predators helmet's vision arrays have been taken away. The Predators shoulder cannon has been taken away. The Predators net thing has been taken away. Am I up to date on this? And the wrist mounted rocket launcher?

K. Let's start a Luke Skywalker thread, K? We can take away his force powers, take away his lightsaber, take away his blaster, cut out his tongue, hog tie him perhaps? That's pretty much what has been done to the Predator here.

Still, McClane doesn't have the firepower here to do anything more than piss the Predator off, fact. He has only 9mm ammo, thss will be like a bee sting to the Predator. It took a full clip of 5.56 NATO auto fire and 9 shotgun shells to knock it down. And it was STILL fully functional, physically that is. McClane can hide all he wants, the Predator is a HUNTER, it WILL find him and use the disc to cut him in half.

McClane against the Predator with the weapons he used in Die Hard, biggest mismatch in MVF history, advantage Predator.

In closing, yes, McClane, with the right tools, stands a chance at killing the Predator. But here, he does not have the necessary tools for the job. To say McClane wins here is the epitome of fanboyism.
