Demile paused as she heard voices coming from the church entrance and knew now that she was not alone whether these were friendly or one of them she coudn't tell but se held her gun tight and was prepared for anything if they were hostile. she moved forwards and continued to creep closer down the side aisle of the darkened church her heart beating ten to the dozen with each careful tredded step that she took she had nothing else to lose so she called out " who is there "
Dan looked around has he heard another voice calling out in the church along the side aisle " Who's asking " he called out and pulled connie closer by him and held his rifle up ready.

Kaylee ran fingers through her hair as she followed Jesse, her fingers brushing her pistol every now and again. She heard noises from every corner and every alley, and she clutched her locket for comfort. Somewhere in the back of her mind, something nagged at her that she was abandoning her Alex. Kaylee shook the thoughts from her head, scolding herself that hope was something that only desperate people grasped. Wherever her child was, Kaylee just hoped that she was safe, and that their paths would cross again. She felt hopeless (and guilty that she thought this way), but first and foremost, she had to survive, and....
Her mind rambled on, and Kaylee roamed her penlight around every corner. Every now and again, some shadows or pair of eyes would dart back into the darkness, and her hand would drop to her pistol, ready to draw - she already even drew it to be sure. "How much further? I don't like this."
Jesse was doing pretty much the same has Kaylee her hand never far away from her gun and would draw it, she knew they were following but she remained determined she would get them to sector 7 as quickly and as safe as possible " Not far now about two blocks max..just keep that gun very close and be ready for anything "
Before Connie could politely answer Dan, she heard someone speak as well. After Dan pulled her close to him, she looked up at him. She could see that he was about her age and young as well. She must've felt embarrassed for calling him "sir".
The young woman held her camcorder up, shooting ahead at the source of the voice...

Kaylee nodded. "This city has been overrun by.... the others, hasn't it?" Kaylee asked, her grip tighter as she heard something run behind her. The hair on the back of her neck stood up, and she shined the penlight behind her, the pistol ready to shoot.
there was no one there. Kaylee shuddered. "It has, hasn't it?"

Jesse who was still walking didn't answer Kaylee's question at first. A minute or so past and she then looked right into her fearful eyes " Yes, I'm afraid so, Or at least it looks that way, But don't worry they usual only stay within sector 10 and 11 thats their home a least they have everything they live like kings and queens, Royalty even the only thing that really want and nedd is us, We are food to them....makes me sick thinking about it " she replied and raised her eyebrow in grimace t the thought of them.
Matt kicked over a trash filled rubbish bin and surveyed the contents. He sighed as he gazed at the contents nothing worth taking here that he could stomach to eat. H lifted his head up into the blackened filled sky that would not let up the forsaken god damn rain, For once he wished to himself that just for once he would get a break or someone upstairs would cut him some slack he was doing all e could to survive yet whatever he did seemed pointless after all what reason did he have to live and keep on trying to survive in the hell that had once been a beautiful city that was filled with pleasant people now it was every person for himself and what was worse,.. If the rumours were true is the fact that people had resorted to most inhuman thinking of all and acted upon it to survive and actually get a taste for it...yes cannibalism his whole family were the victims of this he wanted revenge their blood was crying out for vengeance but what was the use he hoped he wasn't alone in this city who still had values has he did the will to keep going and find help if he could and most importantly to not give up.
Demile heard the voice of a young man addressing her with a question as to who was asking. The only thing about her that would be visible in the darkened church would be her electric blue streaks in her hair, She took a step forward " My name is Demile, Who are you ?, and how do you come to be here ? " she called out an echo in her voice circled the church.

" yes I guess they are in some sick way..They have a food scouting party or look outs they tend to lurk in the shadows and pounce and take people like us back to the them.. " she whinced at her words but she needed to make Kaylee see that, These were merciless and without reason and very hungry.

Kaylee's face twisted into disgust. "We've sunk this low, then. Funny what desperation does to people." She sighed. "I wonder how everything is back in my home - at least, what's left of it anyway." She looked up, and the shadow of the hospital and the church loomed before her against the small fires contained by the cans. "Which first, then?"
