Makes sense to me. Lego seems like a toy that should have been made into a movie a long time ago. I'm certainly not interested but i'm not interested in most children movies anymore.

They adapted Lego into videogames. It was only a matter of time until this was being adapted into a movie. Hollywood wants to grab anything that's well known and Lego is one of them.

Sort of.

It's more like making movies to make money, which includes selling toys which earns them residual income and royalties.

Making a movie about toys is another way to SELL toys. 🙂
