ares runs the gauntlet

now in each fight he is fresh and ready to fight the fighter when he is 100% lets begin

Don't know much about Marv Ares, hows his resistance to sharp things? If he bleeds, weapon X can kill it.

It fluctuates. Yeah, he does bleed.

Makes it to 5, goes down fighting, happy that he died at the hands of a true warrior.

Ares would mess Wolverine up. Your forgetting he has (or should have when written properly) a sick healing factor of his own. Take all his showings into account, not just his recent team showings on Mighty Avengers.

if he gets to hercules he dies.

Ares was messing Herc up pretty bad in their recent fight. Herc had to kick him into missiles and BFR him. Namor has a good shot depending on where they fight. Otherwise Thor definately grounds him.

His HF is nowhere near as fast and effective as Wolverine's one.

Look up his bio, Olympians need to be like vaporized to stay down.

How are Wolverine or Sabretooth going to K.O. him? They arent exactly the knock out kind of people. If Ares can completely shrug off Herc slamming him with tons of steel, I cant see either of those 2 putting up enough blunt force to take him out.
As for feats, he's being somewhat mishandled in might avengers, same way Sentry is, same way Thor was in Avengers back in the day, same way Wolverine is in New Avengers. Team books arent the best showing for powerhouses.

Or ya know....cutting of their head, which Wolverine is easily capable of.

And Ares cant grab his arm and punch the crap out of him like Hulk did? Or knock him into the atmosphere? If cutting off heads were that easy, He'd have done it already to some of the other bricks he fights with so frequently who arent even on Ares' level

ares isn't durable against peircing/slashing damage

Ares also generally comes with a giant axe, magic armor, and all that. I agree the potential for Wolverine to beat him is there, I just dont see it happening for the majority.
