Superman vs. Batman

Superman (Routh) from Superman Returns versus Batman (Bale) from The Dark Knight.

The Joker has escaped from Arkham Asylum and decides to have some fun away from home by going to Metropolis. Batman, knowing that Metropolis has it's own defender, decides to study up on The Man of Steel, but only does so for 24 hours, because time is of the essence when trying to find The Joker and stop him from killing. Batman travels to Metropolis and scours the criminal underworld looking for leads to his nemesis. Supes learns that a masked vigilante is wreaking havoc in his city and decides to do something about it, all the while not realizing what impending doom is about to be wrought upon Metropolis by a maniac in clown make-up.

Batman is swinging from rooftop to rooftop and sees Superman hovering quietly in front of him with a fixated, and somewhat impressed, stare.

S: Who are you and what are you doing in my city?

B: Trying to find a maniac and stop him from killing.

S: The only maniac I see is right in front of me.

B: Leave me alone and let me do my job.

S: You're coming with me one way or another. Don't make me hurt you.

B: You won't.

Anything goes.

Superman is a boyscout and plays by the rules. He does not have any idea what kind of man he is up against.

Batman fights dirty and is not afraid to, either. He has had 24 hours of prep time to study Superman and his tactics. The Batmobile is at his ready if he needs it.

Who takes it?

(I was watching the 3 episode story arc "World's Finest" from Superman TAS dvd, and felt like making this.)

Superman wins with incredible ease. How is this even fair? Give Batman some Kryptonite or something because this feels spite.

Batman has 24 hours of prep time.

He's the world's greatest detective, and smarter than Lex Luthor. I think that Batman would have deduced on packing some Kryptonite.

This is a joke right? In the comics and tv show rarely does Batman engage Superman. He either outwits him or shoves kryptonite in his face. Most of the time they team up.

You just said it:

He outwits him.

Lol.

Definately not if you are talking about movie versions.

Kryptonite? Superman was surrounded by it and had it jammed in his side. He lifted a gigantic island and threw it into space.

He wins.

Look, I admit that this is not my best thread.

Sue me for wanting to mix it up a little.

Let's be adults here and be completely honest, this is what happens:

It's no secret that this is what the DC writers imply.

Batrape.

YouTube video

Bat finds some kryptonite and kicks the shit outta Supes.

Not exactly. I said that comic Batman and DCAU Batman outwits him from time to time. Nolan's Batman isn't that brilliant. He's not even a genius. What's he going to do? His arsenal consists of a tank and a motorcycle. The other two incarnations of Batman I mentioned have WAY more resources and gadgets in the there respective batcaves.

This is spite. Iron Man or the Autobots would be a much better fit with prep time than Nolan's Batman.

How is this spite?

Batman is the most dangerous human being on Earth.

Superman, while infinitely more powerful than Bats, does not any of the training or tactics of his opponent.

If I wanted spite, I wouldn't have given Batman any prep time. I.e., he decides to pack some Kryptonite.

Whether he's a genius is questionable, but he certainly isn't anywhere near the comic's level of genius.

What Bale-man has though, is the ability to draw on the resources of a tested genius, Fox. So Fox figures out the kyptonite angle, procures some and then they both rape Superman.

Have to agree with RJ. McClane is the most dangerous human.

Care to elaborate, kitten?

Who is more dangerous, physically, mentally, and tactically, than Batman?

Batman rapes McClane.

Start the thread, Rob. You know you want to.
