Matching Cabas' finesse leads to a failure on Xavier's part. His defensive posturing works wonderfully, but when he tries to counterattack, Cabas slips in and nearly skewers Xavier on his blade with his one-handed jabs. Xavier falls back to get breathing room for retaliation.

Xavier to attack, Cabas to defend.
Plunging straight back into the duel seems suicidal in light of Cabas' lightning quick thrusts, but Xavier angles his blades to intercept and crush his Master's blade between his own two, engaging the Master in a solid lock.
"I never should have trained you!" Cabas says, trying to pull his blade free.
SCORE:
Cabas- 5, Xavier- 6. Match point to Xavier.
Cabas to attack, Xavier to defend.
Instead of yanking his lightsaber free, Cabas simply shuts his weapon off and aims his lightsaber hilt, aiming to switch the weapon back on and ignite it straight through Xavier's heart.
The words pour into Xavier's mind through the haze, but Xavier can not act upon his own decision to let Cabas' blade pierce him.
Instead the dark side of him uses the force to propel him upwards into the air and behind Cabas where he attempts to run old through the chest from behind.
"Then training us will be your last mistake, old Master!"
Before Cabas can reactivate his blade, Xavier is already moving, springing upwards over his opponent with surprisingly agility; a move that Xavier normally would not employ, and so Cabas is completely surprised when he must turn about to block the first blow from Xavier's green lightsaber.
However, he does not stop the second.
