It's too much if it's excessive, by the very definition. (Edit - I indicated that in the post that you're deriving your idea from. There is a line and it's different for everyone. The point is to not cross that line for the majority of people, and you'll be okay.)
However, RJ has not hit the excessive barrier, yet. It's excessive when I get annoyed. 😐
