I searched and there was no thread, if there is and i didn't see it, please disregard this..my bad!

Whiteout: drama -
Kate Beckinsale plays a US marshal who is sent to the Antarctic to solve it’s first homicide. Ah. Yeah. Why didn’t Kate stick with the Underworld series? Cold, slow moving plot. It’s like Seven but with igloos and lots and lots of snow. Not really a film that people want to attend and sit through after a long action packed summer. Okay, aside from the super hottie Kate, what else is going for this film? Surprise ending? A killer wanted to keep a secret that the community has been holding for years? Ah. I guess if you like your films pace moving slower than the Shawshank Redemption than this film is for you. take a pass this weekend and go see 9 or Sororty Row.

What did you expect from Dark Castle? they usually produce some rubbish films when it comes to thrillers and horrors. Whiteout doesn't look any different.

Dominic Sena directed it and he did Gone in 60 seconds and Swordfish
both great movies, so maybe this one won't be that bad.

Yes, the remake of Gone in 60 Seconds, and Swordfish really fill me with hope that it will be a good film... both of these films are nothing special, hardly great.

Jaden - According to one of the film reviews in the papers today, Whiteout contains one of the most gratuitous shower scenes, involving KB, that he has ever seen in a film. So you have something to look forwards to.

I wont see this movie, the first time i saw the advert I first thought it was Nicole Kidman who was the lead, till i searched it and saw that it was K. Beckinsale.

tbh I dont like movies with snow in it, and who the hell would want to go to the antartic to solve a murder, she well drew the short straw at the Marshall's office.

I believe it's a thriller/murder mystery film. Some critic mentioned it as a rehash of the film D-Tox.

Sounds ok, I like snow based movies for some reason.

Is there any word of us actually seeing her nude or just bad angles that don't show anything? For the lesbian thing, great actresses would have done it for the role and fans. She did not even do that, even if it wasn't in the script she could have asked for it to be in it.

bot really,, scripts are re written every day so this would be no different unless Kate wanted the part of the story written out

Though she has taken part in same sex stuff in another film, so I don't see why she would ask to remove it.

yes she has, i really don't know.. maybe the studio wanted it out or when it was being written for the big screen than the writer himself thought it isn't relevant to the story he wanted to tell

I'm not particularily interested in seeing this movie. I'll probably rent it, though. I can wait to see it.

saw this today,, not one of kate's best, but still decent film
