Realistic Maul vs Vader fight and Jedi vs Mandos fight?

Darth Maul vs. Darth Vader

Vader slowly walked down the lava world of Mustafar. Slowly and cautiously, he stepped towards the new space station that was being constructed. There was someone here, he knew it. Someone strong in the Force, and who had the intent of killing Vader. He kept himself alert with both his senses and the Force, searching the perimeter for any possible threats. Vader smiled. The stalker must be stupid, whoever he/she was, trying to attack the Dark Lord of the Sith.

Maul laid in wait, hiding behind the rocks of Mustafar. The enormous heat of the rocks burned his skin, but he ignored it. Maul had learned to ignore all type of pain quite a while ago. He would not allow for foolish nerves to get into his goal of taking down Vader. Maul waited for Vader’s back to be turned on him, and then striked.

Vader’s blade was instantly up, blocking Maul’s first flurry of strikes. Maul began pressing the attack, left then right, as Vader struggled to block them all. Maul did a large overhand attack that Vader effortlessly blocked, but then quickly jabbed his lower blade down at Vader's leg. Vader had to jump back, and Maul unleashed another flurry at Vader. Vader managed to get in a powerful overhand strike, but Maul dodged it and kicked Vader away. Big mistake. With a distance between them, Vader gestured at the rocks that Maul had once hid in. They hovered in midair for a moment, and then Vader made a sweeping gesture and they flew towards Maul at extremely fast speeds. Maul had his lightsaber up deflecting and cutting the rocks, but it was but a diversion. Vader gathered up his Force reserves, and then unleashed them in a giant Force wave. Maul was taken off his feet and the wind was knocked out of him as he went flying back almost two hundred yards. Vader stopped for a moment to catch his breath, and then flung a part of the space station – a giant pillar, at Maul. Maul was almost knocked off by the pillar, but managed to roll to the side. He then started sprinting towards Vader, hoping to close the gap between them.

Vader began throwing Force attacks at Maul, but he deflected them all and continued on his way to Vader. Eventually he got there, and started ferociously attacking Vader. Vader, being unfamiliar with the double bladed lightsaber, was forced back closer and closer to the lava. Maul finally overwhelmed Vader and hit him three times, twice on one shoulder and once on the other. Vader fell down, his suit offering some protection against the saber. Maul brought his saber up. “At last Vader, I shall now replace you as Sidious’s apprentice. And you shall…” Maul never finished his sentence as Vader did a quick Force push to Maul, and Maul screamed as he fell into the burning lava.

So, how is it?

Jedi vs Mandos

Jedi vs Mandos

Luke was sitting in his office, going through papers and files, when he sensed it. He recognized it almost immediately. The troops felt just like the Mandalorians that he met when he visited Mandalore. Yes, this was the day that the troops had arrived. Luke quickly flipped on his emergency speaker. “Attention, attention everyone in the Temple. This is a code tin head, repeat this is a code tin head! And this is not a drill. A company of Mandalorians are outside the Temple!” In an instant, alarms began to flare, and the entire Temple became alive as jedi raced to and fro. Upon about Daala’s plan to hire Mandalorians, Luke and the Masters had come up with a combat plan in the case that it happened. Following the suggestion from Han Solo, who held a grudge against Boba Fett, they had named it code tin head, in mockery of the mandalorian supercommandos. Jedi padawans and younglings began broke open the secret tunnels and watched for any reinforcements. Meanwhile, there would be a main fighting force that would form a semi circle around the entrance hallway. This would consist of a large portion of the Masters, Knights and YVH combat droids in the Temple. Jedi scouts would be posted along the hallways to ambush the commandos if they somehow broke through the semicircle and auto turrets, and security guards were stationed at strategic chokepoints. Should in the ridiculous and highly improbable case the enemy forces get past all of that, then there were secret escape tunnels that had been crafted, protected by jedi protectors, guardians, padawans and younglings. A jedi transport craft would be waiting not far from the Temple.

Hector and his troops stood outside the Temple, ready to bust in and catch them by surprise…only to find that the jedi had begun to prepare for the assault in a highly efficient and speedy manner. How was this possible? It was like as if they knew about the assault. Could they have heard about it somehow? However they responded so quickly, this would surely complicate things. Upon examining the Temple, his scouts had reported that there was only one entrance – through the main, very large doors. Of course, entrances could very easily be made through the proper application of explosives. If they could go around the sides and surround them…

The semicircle, commanded by Jaina and Kyle, ignited their lightsabers at the mandos began to advance closer and closer to the Temple. One of the mandos then stepped forward and demanded them to surrender. Of course, Jaina refused.

Instantly, the mandos began opening fire. The jedi started deflecting the shots, some into the ground and others back into the mandos, who had taken cover behind makeshift durasteel cases that they had brought. On a Force nudge from Jaina, the semi circle turned into a wedge as they advanced down the steps, deflecting laser fire and Forcing back grenades. Then a squad of mandos with jetpacks flew over the wedge and started spraying them with flamethrowers. The fire caught fire to a few jedi, but the rest simply Force gripped them down and slammed them. The ground mandos continued firing, some switching to closer ranged repeating blasters as the wedge came within 50 meters of the mandos. Jedi began to go down as the repeating blasters tore through their ranks, them being significantly harder to block than regular blasters. At Jaina’s signal, the jedi broke into a sprint quickly closing the gap, but also getting hit by increased repeating blaster rounds. Then, contact. Lightsabers began to hiss as the jedi swung their sabers at the mandos. The mandos had tried to move back, but they weren’t fast enough. Jaina brought her saber down at a mando that seemed to look like a leader of some sort, not the colonel/captain/whatever he was that ordered their surrender, but probably a lesser leader or something. The lightsaber smeared into his armor, but it didn’t go right through; beskar armor was incredibly durable. The mandos yelped and tried to throw a punch at Jaina. Jaina reacted by catching the punch and spinning around to behind him, and then with a Force enhanced chop broke his arm. She then spun back around while still holding onto him, making him fall to the ground. Jaina stabbed her lightsaber into the exact same spot again, and this time it went through. The mando yelled, and then lay still.

Although it seemed rather cruel to smile after killing – or at least severely injuring someone, even one that tried to kill you, especially when you’re a jedi, Jaina couldn’t help it. Perhaps that martial arts class that Kyle offered did end up helping her quite a bit. Jaina was interrupted when a mando sprang towards her and tried to shoot a blaster straight into her face. She spun around and Force hurled him – straight into the blade of Kyle. Two more whose weapons were broken ran toward her, trying to slam the butt of their weapons into her back. She spun around behind them – the martial art that Kyle taught called Kesto involved lots of spinning, and drove her lightsaber into one of them’s neck. It failed to go all the way through...

continued...

EDIT: On second thought, I don't want anyone stealing all of my ideas, but I'll still keep the Maul vs Vader and first part of Jedi vs Mandos open.

I disliked the ending of the Maul vs. Vader. Getting killed with a Force push from nowhere...other than that, I thought the rest was pretty good.

Jaina + Jedi vs. Mandalorians was an enjoyable read though. The only part that I have a problem with (and this is minor) is Jaina smiling after killing the Mandalorian. I'm not sure what the teachings on behavior are for the New Jedi Order, but a Jedi expressing joy after taking a life is out of character, IMO.

After what they put her through on Mandalore...ye lords, she has a right to smle.

Yeah, I sort of rushed the ending.

Thanks, that was a little out of character...

on second note, maybe I can include just a little more...

and then a third mando came from behind and did a very powerful kick to her back. Jaina screamed, and she fell to the ground, her back aching in pain. The mando towered above her, trying to restrain her, but she Force hurled him to the ground. She then punched the other in the nose. The third mando tried to get her into a choke hold from behind, but she spun around behind him and sank her lightsaber into the same spot as before, this time getting through. With no one attacking her at that instant, she focused her mind, and then did a quick strike at a mando near her, shattering his armor into tiny pieces. Jaina smiled. This was the first time that she got to apply her shatterpoint in a real combat scenario, and it worked! She then cut him down with little effort.

2 minutes had past.

Natua Wan was standing in the middle of the hallway, her lightsaber out but not ignited. She could hear the battle in the distance, but her duty was to guard the hallways in the case that the mandalorians broke through, which was highly unlikely. She sighed. A shame that she wouldn’t get to participate in the battle. Then, as if responding to her complaint, a part of the wall exploded, and 50 or so mandos came rushing in, blasters firing. Natua barely got her lightsaber up in time to deflect the barrage of lasers. Her fellow 2 jedi knights – Barv and Yaqueel, ignited their sabers as well and stood next to her. The security guards were caught by surprise, and within a few seconds they were all either dead or wounded. Only the three knights remained, deflecting lasers – most of them, as one caught Natua in the arm and another in the foot. Barv yelled and used the Force to cause the ground to shake, causing much of the mandos to fall down. Seizing upon this opportunity, the three knights rushed at their foes, cutting down many of them. Natua barely thought as she brought her lightsaber down at a mando, blocked a laser coming at her left, kicked a mando coming at her…her senses began to blur as a very big mando came from behind and hit her hard in the head. Then a huge pain came in her stomach. Struggling to get up, Natua could see Barv and Yaqueel retreating, yelling at Natua, and trying to Force drag her to safety.

But no. She couldn’t. She was too weak from being pounded, and if the other two exerted their energy in pulling her, then they’d all die. Shrugging them off, she told them to go, and then charged at the mandos. Using some strange power that she learned from Barv, she crushed a mando, easily getting past his armor, and dismembered another. She then used the Force to turned the muzzle of a barrel aimed at her at another mando, and a flamethrower burned him. She leapt at another, and then took down another, and then blocked a round, and reflected another, and then a huge pain hit her in the chest, and then in the shoulder, and then some red thing came at her head, and she saw nothing.

Good job, Hewho.

Good job, Hewho.

Thanks

I liked it.

Yea, i must agree... not bad. I dug it.

I enjoyed it too, though expect: [Lucien]You have time to write these and post them but not respond to my post which destroyed yours? Another reason to ignore...[/Lucien]

Well written and enjoyed both.

dude don't rag on Mr. Omniknowledge! those were good reads man.

@hewho:
I felt that it could have been proofread alittle, but its ok. Just the part

straight into the blade of Kyle
was pretty weird.

I know you meant Kyle's blade, but idk. it just stood out to me. The rest was good though.

Just read through it. I'm not thrilled by the phrases 'some big red thing' and 'some sort of commander or something.' They seem lazy.
