He wasn't Tom Hanks, but he was good in certain roles. Ghost, Red Dawn, Dirty Dancing.

He played a dead guy...and now he is a dead guy 🙁 I quite liked Ghost and Dirty Dancing, two classic films that will live on forever along with the memory of him 🙂 RIP Pat

He also had a great role in Requiem For a Dream, where he played a infomercial-ish motivational speaker on losing weight.

Christopher McDonald played Tappy Tibbons in Requiem for a Dream.

Swayze starred as Jim Cunningham in Donnie Darko.

My favorite Swayze role will always be as Sam in Ghost.

Road House is a close second.
