What Movie Scared You the Most as a Child

I was scared of the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, but couldn't stop watching the films...looking back, those movies are funny v. scary

Pootie Tang.

The very first horror movie that I saw was Jaws. This movie converted me to the horror addict that I am 😛

The original Friday the 13th. Especially that scene at the end when Jason jumped out of the water. I think it was probably the first gory horror movie I ever watched so I wasn't expecting that shock at the end. It almost gave my young heart an attack. Was it ever confirmed whether that actually happened or did the girl just imagine it/dream it?

I only got around to watching that film about 3 years ago but I'll need to see it again to make a fair determination whether the ending was real or not. I am certain however that I nearly s**t myself at that part 🙁

Edit: The ending for Deliverance though, now that's a hell of an ambiguous closing scene.

I saw Texas Chainsaw Massacre when I was like 10, back in 1986 and it still creeps me out, but not the new ones the new ones are lame compared to the 1974 version

I saw IT and Killer Clowns from Outer Space, back to back when I was maybe 6 at the most. Ruined clowns for me for a few years.

Watching Ernest Scared Stupid movie now it's not scary but when I was Child it scared the hell out of me.

The Exorcist of course

Exorcist gave me chills too the first time I saw it. It still kinda creeps me out to this day. Awesome movie that is. Billy Graham was convinced that a demon was living inside that film.

that movie changed our lives forever

The Grudge, easily.

Also, the ring.

I also was scared of Urban Legends: Bloody Mary.

Nightmare on Elm Street. It was the first horror movie I ever watched and I was way to young to be watching it. Had nightmares for days.

Omg, that has got to be Jeepers Creepers 2. the sequel/prequel?? had just come out and my dad took moi and my sibling to see it(i was like 10 my sib was 7 #greatparenting XD) and a couple minutes in, I started whimpering and told my dad i wanted to go lmao.

In the end we went to mcdonalds lol

Is this thing still active?

I saw movie this back in the 2000's (i think) and it has a very similar plot with The Lazarus Effect (2015). I remember the lead was a girl who was a scientist or a doctor whose mom has cancer. She was invited by this rich guy together with other doctors and scientists to work on a project that would bring back people from the dead. I remember a security guard being killed and they had to bring him back alive. But he gains powers like mind-reading, telekinesis, turning water to grape juice, and healing wounds. Anyways, he ends up killing everyone.

The Child's Play movies used to keep me up for weeks when I was really young. Seeing a Chucky doll at a Halloween shop nearly made me cry when I was in the mall with my family, too.
Today, the movies are cheesy but likeable. I guess dolls really freaked me out back then.

i was thinking flatliner but flatliner was in the 80's i believe.

Pet Sematary.

I was actually scared of the zombies from the Thriller video, just hearing the song would make me hide. Another movie that scared me was Poltergeist.

The Grudge.

Only ghosts or creatures that are undying and can't be injured scare me.
