Best movies based on real life?

What do you guys consider the best films based on true/real events, people, etc.?

For me, two come to mind immediately:
-The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
-City of God

I'm sure there are tons of others, like biopics of course (Ray, Walk the Line, Malcom X, etc.). I don't really care for biopics all that much though.

Anyway, I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Charlie Wilsons War
Essex Boys

Star Wars

Diving bell is astounding...I have to agree.

For me, Schindler's list is the best I can think of.

Definitely agree with The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.

Schindler's List
United 93
Sophie Scholl: The Final Days
The Wave - based on a real life experiment
Monster
Girl, Interrupted

A few I liked.

The Dish
The great escape
Tora tora tora

tora, tora, tora

schindler's list

girl, interrupted

Pokemon: The First Movie.

Someone already made that joke up there and it wasn't funny then.

Aliens 😄....wait...pr1983

Still haven't seen Sophie Scholl. It's one of those dvds that I kept meaning to buy but got something else instead and then eventually forgot about it.

Wish i'd done the same with "The lives of others" which I thought was a horrendously boring and overrated steamer.

Hmm, i wonder...,does Quills count? I know it's only inspired by.

Is it because this is your thread? I think it's because this is your thread.

But no means the best, but a recent one that I liked was Defiance with James Bond and Victor Creed.

The Pianist
Catch Me If You Can
Schindler's List

and of course...
La Passion de Jeanne D'Arc (The Passion of Joan of Arc)

the pursuit of happyness, munich, schindler's list, the pianist... pretty much everything that's been listed already.

Why, "Milk", of course.

Thumbs up to "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" and "United 93". Both astonishingly powerful films.

Goodfellas and Schindler's List are practically perfect films.

i think "untied 93"and catch me if u can

Another one I just thought of that I like:

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
