(Wolverine is interrupted and KO'd by Blok here)
I'm still trying to make sense of this guy's powers. It can't be telepathy, because it needs a physically tangible neurosystem. Hence why he couldn't affect Ghost in his intangible-mode. This can't be the case, since then it wouldn't matter if Wolverine went berserk. Wolverine's brain still sends out signals, that doesn't change.
So which is it? Difficult to say.

Put it down to bad writing i suppose, he locks on to impulses is good enough for me, it's a nice ability that hasnt been seen before. Maybe you could chalk it up to him only being able to read impulses from a certain area of the brain, so sub-conscious impulses (auto pilot/berserker) may be unreadable.

A lot of fighting is done subconsciously. A person when fighting thinks of the general battle plan, but not how to execute particular kick or punch- the moves are "wired" in subconsciousness...
Not being able to read subconsciousness=useless poweset. So the "berserk excuse" is a plot-devicy writing and I think it's being retconned now with neuro-mapping explanation of powers rather than TP.
Berserker was an obstacle back when Mr X was explained as telepath.

Didn't Kitty use to block tp while intangible? I know that didn't work against Exodus, but he's a pretty powerful telepath.
Thunderbolts #132
Mister X vs. Natasha Romanova (in disguise of Yelena) and Paladin
Not a real fight, just an act. But just because the duo didn't want to kill X here (and vice versa) doesn't mean they wanted to lose so badly 🙂
Thunderbolts #134
X mastered every MA on the Earth and is familiar with Kree and Sh'iar combat techniques. He's making a synthesis of them.
Humiliates Headsman... with both hands behind his back.

Why does he wear sunglasses all the time anyway? Does he have over-sensitive eyes or something?
