on another note: wouldn't all of the starro-starfish be 'standard equipment' for STC? he does have complete control over the entire species, afterall. i mean realistically, one mental command is all it would take for a boatload of starfish to descend upon the battlefield... much like this:

http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/9381/starro2.jpg...and if that were to happen, thanos and darkseid are royally f*cked.
what flag are you talking about?
Yep, now I think Starro owns this. He has galaxies at his command.
Starro is big time for sure, but I don't think we have anything that indicates he is really above the Darkseid/Thanos level. He also seems to be limited to primarily physical attacks.
Anywhere, here is more Starro stuff...
Against an extremely powerful, vicious villain who had exterminated 8 planets AND a team of heroes who were his physical equal (combined).
Against a woman who could tap into the full energy of her planet.
He also later stalemated a number of Black Lanterns (one of whom was Harbinger) for 3 days without tiring. He only stopped because one of his Lts, Lyrl Dox (Brainiac 3) teleported them away when he realized that the battle couldn't be won.

I still think he is stronger than Thanos & Darkseid's Post-Crisis avatars, albeit not as smart nor intelligent.
I'm not sure there is enough evidence for that. His fight against Despero was domination due to circumstance, rather than flat out being THAT much stronger. His stamina seems to be immense, I'll give you that, but are any of his feats really more impressive than Thanos taking on that world of assassins and destroy them? Hasn't Lobo achieved a lot of the same stuff, and yet Darkseid treated him like a nothing.
Hard to say, really, though it's definitely possible.

I don't think Darkseid or Thanos has the power of 9 galaxies. And I don't think Darkseid can take on THREE Black Lanterns for 3 days straight.

I think Darkseid would probably destroy 3 Black Lanterns in three minutes, to be frank. His Omega Effect makes him almost a shoe in.
And the 9 Galaxies thing is so nebulous. Supposedly he has the strength of all the beings in the 9 Galaxies, but we don't know the mechanism by which that works, if he has their actual physical strength or their will, if each person actually adds their full physical strength and, if they do, how are they functioning, etc.
It's not as literal as Mangog's 'billion, billion beings', because their essences were actually wrapped up in Mangog. There is clearly some degree of transferance here that doesn't make it as simple as having the full strength of everyone in 9 Galaxies (which certainly sounds great for hyperbole, but doesn't really tell us anything more the resources he has at his disposal).
