Don't know if anyone else grew up with that corny Super Mario Bros. Super Show but i'd be lying if I didn't say that I'll kinda miss the guy.

That used to be my favorite show sometime in my childhood. Now someone from my past is gone 🙁

wow.

And he was also WWF wrestler too. But i really liked that show. I remember my friend telling me on his porch that a new Super Mario Bros show was coming soon and i pretended not to care but i couldn't wait for the series to start.

loved it when the 'toons particularly emphasized super mario bros 2. the guest stars were always cheesy but in a cool and accepting way. the hip hop intro was one of the best back then. the outro was "cheesy" cool too. "do the mario!" Luigi was memorable. So was the set. I remember SMB sound effects always occuring every other second during their antics on the live show.

Loved Zelda on fridays. Rockin' intro on that too.

but rip louie. you've left me with good memories of a show that made smile alot as a kid.

Can't lie that I watched the Super Mario Bros Super Show, mine was the Super Mario Bros. 3 Adventures.

Lou only did the first show. Has anyone seen that clip from the first episode where it sounds like he's telling Danny Wells to go **** himself?

Yeah, he sure had a pretty good run...
RIP Cap'n

Probably shouldn't have, but I lol'd at this when I decided to watch some videos of him again after his passing yesterday.

Nostalgia moment.

This old interview was also pretty interesting, more-so than I imagined at first. o3o

He truly was the man.

Everyone do the Mario in memory of a legend.

This may be a noobish thing of me to say but I thought we were talking about the voice actor. LOL!

Oh god, how the VG community would collapse if the voice of Mario were to pass away. But to tell you the truth, Lou Albano was, IMO not the best choice for Mario. They should have went with Ron Jeremy.

RIP Lou. I only knew him more of a wrestler than a video game character for a corny video game TV show. Meh.

Why would Nintendo want to associate their mascot and biggest bread winner with a porn star?

"My God I love Mario so much, his name is Ron Jeremy? I wonder what else he does!" Not the image you want to leave with kids, and a stupid idea.

i think he was just kiddin..

he does like mario though. even moreso than a costumed louie did in fact, lol.

anyway "it's time to go, do the mario..." get it, cause it's almost 5pm..yea.

anyhoo, maybe i'll watch an episode or 2 today on youtube while eating a slice or 2 of pepperoni pizza in honor, and do it "just, like, that!...DIC"

Damn. Cpt. Lou was the shiznit. RIP.

SMBSS for the win 😄

Everyone should attempt to make a video like that of themselves, and learn if they don't know how to.
Am I right?

I always that Lou's manly, dimwitted brooklyn plumber was a better choice than Charles Martinet's nitrous huffing, effeminate Italian stereotype. Plus, the production values on that show were so aweful it was like a real life Krusty the Klown show. The only thing worse was Mario on Ice and the short lived King Koopa's Kool Kartoons.

Exactly like that.

You are right.

On a somewhat related note, it turns out that Tony Rosato who took over Luigi after Danny Wells is in a maximum security mental institution after developing a serious mental illness and stalking and harassing his ex-wife and child. He'll probably be released around 2010
