Well...I was kind of hoping that the people who run the various thread would look over the character's idea then decide if it'll work in their particular story. It saves me the trouble of going through every thread and reading it's description (possibly picking a thread that has long since died) or back tracking through this thread. 😛

Here is my game idea.

Its title will be decided when someone comes up with a title.

This game takes place a very long time after the 6th movie. All the characters you know are long dead. Do not worry about the descendants.

47 years ago, the Sith left the Remnants (Empire), due to their lack of power and gain of a conscience, in search of more brutal powerful groups. The Sith and their teachings became little known.

The Jedi started having little use to the Republic because of no war going on, so most were laid off from the Republic. One big mistake.

20 years ago, the Sith found unwilling people who were Force sensitive. They were forced to join them. After a while longer, they found a perfect candidate for something to join. The Black Sun Pirates. They may not have been powerful, but they were ruthless and chaotic. The Pirates refused their services, because they thought it was a trick. One man who became leader of the Sith, Darth Basek did not approve. He organized a way to take them over by force. It was put into effect and worked perfectly.

The Remnants and Republic were not aware of this until they took over Tatooine from the Republic.

10 years ago, Darth Sroth (Darth Basek's apprentice) did not like his low rank. He built a suit of armor made of purified cortosis and diamond plating, and trained himself severely with the force. He learned something amazing, summoning. With the help of 5 minions, there was no way he could lose in overthrowing his master.

The Remnants gained power because of a discovery of how to put the Force into people, due to the research of Emperor Talor without it... again. Soon they retook over Hoth, Kessel, Kamino, and Geonosis.

6 years ago, Darth Sroth tried it. Much to his surprise, Darth Basek could regenerate himself. Sroth managed to fire his master into space.

The Republic has lost power regardless of the efforts of the remaining Jedi who are sometimes advised by Luke Skywalker's ghost.

Now, a great conquest between the 3 factions is beginning. Which side do you want to be on?

Character creation finally

Force users aren't as good as they seem, but they are still useful.

There are some classes, and if you know the races, be them.

Here are the classes
Force
Force Combatant- strong physically, but weak with the force.
Force User- weak physically, but strong with the force.
Creature handler- weak physically, weak with the force. Uses pets in combat. force-like abilities.
No Force
Tribal- strongest. can rage.
Soldier- proficient with anything but lightsabers. strong.
Scout- average strength. skillful.
Scoundrel- weak. most skillful.
Tech- skilled with droids and piloting. weak.
Droids
Social- Protocol. Weak. No weapons, but infinite gadget use. all languages
Melee- Protocol. Strong. Proficient with all. most languages
Assassin- weak. Proficient with all ranged. most languages. infinite gadget use.
Companion- astromech. weak. beeps. infinite gadget use. skilled with droids and piloting. most skillful

To decide what skills and abilities and race you are, make a bio of your character. age, planet, inventory, skills, and a name. Or, make a back story, which can even get you bonus XP which is used to level up and become stronger.

If it gets approved, or if people ask about it more, I will explain more about it.

In.

I'm down.

im in

dude start a thread where we can do this, or should i post my bio here.

He has to wait for Ush's approval before starting the thread. Wait till then to post your bio.

Oh blimey, forgot about this! Sure, go ahead with that idea, if you are stll up for it.

Dude, what about the Sith academy idea?

Idea:

Takes place during the clone wars. You can not say you are a decendent of one of the original characters and you can only interact with them in conversation or only in combat if you have actually cause but you can not kill the original members. You may claim to be trained by one of the original members if you wish. You cannot be 'all powerful' this must be logical. I recomend posting a basic outline for your character before posting something. example:

Name😮blivion
Species: Human
Sub class: None
Special: Dark Force
Strength: 8 of 10
Speed: 9 of 10
Intelligence: 9 of 10
Dexterity: 8 of 10
Overall: 8.5 of 10
Weapons: Red Lightsaber
Clothing: Basic Sith robes
Pets: none
Friends: none
Enemies: none
(friends and enemies must all ready in this rpg, so they may be none for awhile.)

then post a short story about how you fit into the rpg, example:

Oblivion is a sith lord for the empire who is traveling the galaxy in search of something...

then post an interjection into the story describing what you are doing and where you are, etc.

theres my idea.

I'm in.

I'll try it.

I tried to make a StarWars Duelling Role-play on my forums, but the few people there didn't seem interested...

I thought I could try to pitch for one here, I love one-one one fighting so this reflects on that...

So, this is just an example to show you one way of duelling, when using force powers per-se, explain as much detail as possible...

If you just say: 'She Used force push and threw her opponent across the room', all that would be was as if you used your power to create a little breeze... the more words you use, the more powerful the attack!

Also, with swordfighting, remember to emphasize EVERY single attack and where it came from, the rule is that your opponent MUST type in their counter attacks, block to match then make their own moves, if they forget to type about even a single attack their opponent made, it counts as a straight hit and could end the fight.

Also, there is a maximum of three attacks that can be made in any one post, this includes Force abilities, if you use the force to empower an attack, that counts as two, leaving you with one more move. This rule is important as not to flood the Duel with a ridiculous amount of attacks that will confuse your opponent and probably lead to an argument.

The most important rule is that you NEED to have fun!

One last thing, I have no problems in three-way fights, but no more... they can get pretty confusing 🙂

Duel Example:

Duelist 1: Ilkena...

In the dark fetid world of the under-habs that litter the unseen areas of Coruscant, where the poor and the unwanted denizens of the high-tech capitol dwelled, two entities clashed in a battle of will and sword...
Anyone who looked upon the bout would see nothing but a brilliant display of Purple flashes and sparks that emanated between the two dark figures who seemed quite intent on causing harm to the other.

The grey-skinned Sith wielded a pair of purple short lightsabres that buzzed and screeched as they contacted the single Cortosis-blade of her opponent, the biting cold of the solid weapon spat and hissed against the searing heat of the lightsabres, further adding to the maelstrom of flailing weapons and wild screams of either combatant.
At this point, they had forgotten how this had come to pass, the heat of the moment was overcome by the adrenaline fueled by the force of which that both parties wielded quite masterfully.

Ilkena, the seven-hundred year old Drelden was not a follower of the Sith code, nor was she a master, her aspect on the living force was that power was used by those with purpose, her purpose served her will and forged her a place among many of the great-yet rare true Sith among the galaxy as she did not act upon her emotions and did not believe in selflessness…

Her opponent was not one to step aside lightly, the constant-changing color of the chameleonic cloak was hard to follow, nor did she use a lightsabre as the weapon with which she fought was an ancient Cortosis sword of the Echani, an in-built cold generator screeched as it contacted the buzzing blade of Ilkena’s violet sabers.
With a swish of her cloak, Ilkena was forced to block high and made an attempt at slashing low, but this Grey Jedi twirled her weapon and parried both counter attacks masterfully.

The Grey’s fighting style was quite archaic, as if she learnt the art of combat from the ancient holocrons of both the Sith and the Jedi orders, the strikes were similar to the Ataru stance many Jedi Masters practice, though her minimalistic use of the force to aid each strike rendered it a very defensive style that was matched only by it’s equally offensive maneuvers...

Duelist 2: Ala'ii...

Ala’ii held her ground despite the surprising skill of the Sith woman, she looked all but eighteen by human standards though fought as if she had learnt the ability over hundreds of years. Her attempts at parrying sent the dark Jedi reeling for a mere moment, apparently she too was matched in the dance of melee combat.

The weight of the Cortosis sword was comforting compared to the unfamiliar feel of the Lightsabre, as the beam of the energy weapon was very light while the weight of a solid blade allowed for more calculated strikes, though when the two met between them, the crackling hissing of the temperature difference between the two styles of weaponry was growing to be a concern.

The Grey Jedi was filled with mixed emotions as she realized just how long they had been fighting, her body felt exhausted and if her opponent was in a better condition, the outcome would be obvious. Thankfully, Ala’ii could sense the weary mind of her foe and saw that this bout was pointless, though it continued none-the-less.

She needed to do something to break the stalemate, the only option was to turn this into a free for all, a test of their control of the force…

Her mind turned inwards, sensing the presence of the Midi-Chlorians that swam richly though her sapphire-hued blood as they infused every sense, every muscle with the power they connected her with. In the split moment she did so, her opponent’s face changed as she saw the almost-literal glow that emanated from Ala’ii.
The air around them wheeled and seemed to scatter, the rubble and trash atv their feet began to float as the force began to filter through from everything around them and into the funnel that built up inside Ala’ii.
With an almighty groan, her hand flew at Ilkena’s chest and the power was catapulted henceforth into the unprepared form of the Dark Jedi, who flew across the alleyway, spinning uncontrollably before she hit a solid-metal wall covered in youth-gang graffiti.

If you need me to explain the rules more in-depth, then just ask, for now, is anyone interested?

Sounds pretty cool, Aliies. Can I join?

I'm in.

no problem 🙂

Jack Of Light
Johns Mannequin

I would like quite a few many people in this to make it a tournament-style of rounds, we all start off by fighting each other equally then we begin to focus on the winners fighting one another, but either way, just dueling without competition is fun anyway, we used to do them on the old StarWars Saga forums before they died 🙂

Ok then, so no more... 🙁 I would like to have at least another two people...

Sounds like a good idea.. You can count me in..

If I promise to have fun, can I join the duelist roleplay? 😄
