look at the context, he could do that because of his vampiric bite/hypnosis, an attack which is ineffective against blade.

It was never revealed. I'm guessing he somehow got it when he was working for the U.S. government leading a team of superhuman black-ops that specialized in assasinations. He had it before he worked for MI:13.

He also could have gotten it from his dad.
