Yeah, he wasn't really written to his full potential at the time. So he didn't get many feats to use, but he is theoretically stronger.

Mostly a plot device. Photon was never focused even in life threatening situations, because he his past and future self’s kept on streaming cosmic awareness.

But Insane accomplished feats that Photon never has....

Did you really think Genis was going to be brought back to marvel Earth, after doing the Cosmic thing with out a plot device?….especially outside his own title?

Read New Thunder Bolts, if his Cosmic Awareness is not being shut off or tempered with by Purple Man. He is not focusing by the sudden informational influx, from all time lines.

Remember he went insane because his Cosmic Awareness spiked up. And then he learned to cope with. In New Thunderboltz it was turned up notch, his past and future selfs are streaming more cosmic awareness. That’s the vary definition of PIS.

I can explain Melissa, but you wont like it. Genis-Vell continues to have trouble “tuning his cosmic awareness”. His is trying to differentiate between past, present, and future, because he can exist in all three simultaneously!
