I read up on it, and yes, he coughed because Mace crushed his chest. Turns out, his organs didn't take well to his cyborg body, so he was already coughing and stuff, but when Mace crushed the chest plate covering his organs, his lungs were injured, making him cough more.

i mean Grand Admirals are suppose to be 2nd in rank after Emperor himself, so GA Trawn had that much influence (as much as Vader & Tarkin) yet we never even hear about him even once, say in ROTJ...wtf?
And Thrawn wouldn't have stepped out of the way for the Emperor, he would have fought him and he would have won. The Emperor was shocked that Thrawn would try and take over the Galaxy and wasn't prepared to take him on so he sat it out until he died.u sayin Sidious dint expect Trawn turn against him? never had a backup plan just in case he turn on him?
