This might be shocking to you but showcasing a diverse amount of feats by non-featured characters isn't really a priority for Marvel or DC. Aside from a select number of popular individuals, we have to logically infer the abilities of a lot of their fellow heroes/villains.
Thus in all of the Orion-Kalibak fights we must assume one of two things:
1. Orion is an absolute idiot who forgets to use his super speed to end the fight in an instant.
or
2. That Kalibak has enough super speed to make the fight somewhat competitive.
Which sounds more likely to you?

I dont think so 🙁 but neither did Kalibak and if so that takes away from all the fights that took place after THAT particular fight because Superman has crushed him REPEATABLY and very easy. The last time I remember them fighting, superman one shotted him.
His speed was a one time deal, kind of like lobo was/is.

Since Orion AND superman RARELY use there speed when fighting bricks, Ill have to go with one.

None of them is bricks but I get your point thats why I said majority of the time. Superman has instances where he use it but he also have a lot of times when he doesnt. Orion, just no, he brawls, I see no speed at all when he's fighting.

superman uses it when he wants to. it's nothing to do with ability.
how much orion have you actually read? what do you require, streaks behind him?

Not spelled out but something show PROOF that he is fighting at high speeds.
Kind of like when superman was fighting mongul, doomsday rex, or the imperex probe. It was pretty much plain and set in your face that Superman was fighting at a pretty good speed rate.

Stab is one thing. In order to put down Kalibak before he knocks Wolverine out, is going to take a killing strike. Remember Kalibak is going to fight back. And his punches have rocked many true class 100's.
