JEDI VS. SITH - ERENGARD - Sith Team

"I expect so, and perhaps it will be something to further our plans..." Vilani says, idly adjusting her plumage.

Lykro jerks awake and looks warily around the room. "Jedi..." Lykro mutters, clicking his beak.

"It seems this mission may be more... interesting then we originally thought," He says, as he meets up with the other members on board the ship.

Jarku tells the pilot to slow up the ship and come in gently, not wanting to alarm the blockade with their approach.

"Send a message ahead to tell the blockade of our arrival," Jarku says.

"We will have to do that once we drop out of hyperspace," he tells you. "Not too experience with spaceflight technology, are you?"

Shortly, your ships drop out of hyperspace on the dark side of the planet, Erengard appearing only as a golden sliver of light in the vastness of space. Jarku's pilot sends the message ahead as instructed as you all begin the slow sublight approach into Erengard's gravity well.

It is quickly responded to by a comm officer.

"This is warship Atrocity, state your purpose," he commands.

Vilani had been pondering her vision still as they dropped out of hyperspace.

"Looks as though we've finally arrived," she comments to Tchai. "I've always hated travelling..."

"It's almost over..." Tchai croons to Vilani, stroking her arm, "and then we can begin our rise..."

The Ayrou smiles cruelly, thinking on precisely how best to subjugate this planet.

"Oh, yes," Vilani replies, leaning slightly against him. "This planet shall only be the beginning..."

Tchai lets out his short shriek of a laugh, holding his wife. "Indeed. The first step to... galactic rule."

"This is Jarku of the Sith taskforce sent to reinforce Darth Mengl," Jarku says, holding down the comm transmission. "Requesting permission to pass the blockade and obtain coordinates for landing at the Sith base."

Jarku tells the pilot to handle verification. Delegation of trivial matters suits her.

"Standby," the comm officer says. A moment later, another voices pipes up.

"This is Fleet Admiral Peguod of Atrocity. Scans confirm your identity. Lord Mengl has asked me to personally welcome you to Erengard. I am sure our campaign will see the total subdual of these arrogant people. I am sending coordinates now."

Some of the troop transports break off to orbit the planet, to the other side where the Sith flagship is situated. You all receive coordinates to a small city in the northern hemisphere, near the polar caps.

Jarku does not respond to Admiral Peguod; she really does not care much for someone who fights from within a starship, let alone securely aboard the flagship. She does wish she could see it, though, and tells the pilot to circle around the planet so that they can get a glimpse and know what it is that is keeping the blockade together.

"We will meet you at the rendezvous," she tells the others. "Go ahead."

If anyone on the Vudan transport has a problem with her decision she will tell them that they can spacewalk to the surface if they really dislike the delay.

Eldros actually likes that idea. When he sees the Vudan transport break off, he heads that way to orbit around Erengard.

Lykro watches the two other ships break off. "I say we don't bother with checking out the blockade and head straight for the city," he says to the others aboard the Sith transport.

Jarku and Eldros are breaking off to sneak a peek at Atrocity and its supporting vessels. Everyone in agreement with Lykro on the Sith transport?

Without anyone naysaying Lykro, the Sith transport begins its slow descent into the atmosphere of Erengard, moving for the northern polar cap as it dives through the thick cloud layer that surrounds that part of the planet. Out of the clouds, a pair of Sith starfighters- shaped like sais, with wings on the top and bottom and a wedge-like chassis- escort you toward the icy tundra where there appears to be a small town.

From the air, you can see that much of the town is empty. On the northern outskirts is a large warehouse, and on the opposite end is the landing field where Sith transports are already setting down their landing gear.

Jarku and Eldros round Erengard instead of following their allies down to the surface of the planet. They are, however, immediately contacted.

"Enemy starships have entered the area," the comms officer pipes up. "It is advised that you carry on to your destination rather than interfere."

Jarku sneers at the command, but realizes that if she brings the unskilled pilot and his transport into a possibly bad situation, she would lose her men and possibly be floating in space.

"How many ships?" Jarku asks. "What is going on?"

Well let the Sith Transport land and lets see who greets us.

"A small handful of Republic fighters and private transports," the comm officer reports. "Nothing we can't handle. They are horrendously outnumbered."

-

The Sith shuttle settles down uneasily as Karzor's apprentice Dreyd puts it through the motions and runs a diagnostics check to ensure that everything went smoothly in the landing. The ramp lowers and you are let out onto the surface of Erengard, onto hardpacked frozen ice that dominates the tundra. Right now the skies are cloudy but there is no threat of blizzard.

No welcome party apparent here. The Sith soldiers start to unload from their transports, decked out in the black armor that Darth Ruin designed himself. They provide all Sith soldiers with an Armor rating of 1, meaning they need four successes to kill with a blaster. Lightsabers, of course, ignore it.

Lykro will disembark the transport, if there is no one to greet him he'll take a closer look at what the Sith soldiers are unloading, have a lookski at what they've brought.

Vilani will also leave the ship, glad to be off the stupid thing, especially after the uneasy landing.
