I wonder how much of that was Darkseid's importance to the fabric of reality and how much was the Presence really not relishing the idea of the Spectre becoming Lord of Apokolips.

The beam had an impact and buried him under rubble. He has never came back before ina few minutes. Nver.

because he'd never been killed so fast before. Or hadn't you noticed the longer it takes to kill him the longer he stays dead. Look at how long he and the radiant fought and he stayed dead for a long time. Him and superman fought for a shorter period and he stayed dead for a shorter period. DS killed him the fastest and he stayed dead the shortest.

That makes no sense and the writer agreed Darkseid can't beat DD one time out of ten in an interview so it makes no sense him being killed there. DD mauls him in a fight Darkseid only wins with strategy and through technology.

the writer in Countown says DD died in that story. And resurrected himself again and again. Ountodown is a recent and canon source. Not some interview where I herry pik what you want to believe and what I want to dismiss.
