There evidence on both side.It sucks that the one event of it happen is so vague, art depicted is terriable and circumstantial. From what i gather a number of writer think he can, but there likely many that don't. So we will never know unless he tries again which will never happen it seems

They aren't just regular human beings, their physiology is completely different from regular humans.
