Spider-Man v. Wolverine and Juggernaut v. Hulk (an older, but equally massive, thread) are both in the top 3. The latter faded as Hulk received steadily progressive upgrades, but was THE debate on page 1 for years.

Beyond that, take your pick.

I considered that. But there's no way to establish "good" debates on the site. Too many threads, too much subjectivity.

It's also why I asked if he was asking about the vs. forum only. The best comic debates on the site have happened in tourneys.

In that case, I'd show my bias, because I think the top 100 or so debates ever were in one tourney or another.

Maybe the Leo v. Smurph final. Maybe Scoobless/Digi v. Blair/Darkcrawler final. Maybe one of the many good Battlezones. Maybe dozens of others between intelligent debaters. The tourney/BZ format is so much more structured, and the demands on proof so much more rigorous, that the level of debating is inherently better than 99.9% of vs. battles.
