He came back in clone bodies after dying a couple of times during that whole DE arc.
Ignoring it doesn't make it non-canon to the EU, and while I cannot remember, I don't think it was retconned.

Set Harth displayed the same process using clones years before Sidious iirc.
Then we have my favorite of the Sith Lords, Darth Bane, who was able to extend his life through pain, when he was near-death.

Even though Marek turned to the Light side, him surviving or coming back is slightly possible imo.

the game was just a terrible platformer with shitty abilities, in star wars wrapping paper, and I'm disappointed that theres going to be a 2nd

however, the gameplay was sick, and, buggy as the pc version is, its totally worth to choose the alternate ending just so you can beat the crap outta

Nihilus was such a badass! Destroyed worlds! Sick. Good choice. Sidious was cool too, took down the Jedi Order from the inside.
