current superman is much diff then he was a few years ago, after C.O.M.E when he got his powers back he even mentioned how everything is diff. his said his brain was at least three times faster, in JLA # 29 he was able to move the planet Earth away from the Sun while a Starbreaker was pushing it into the Sun. Also in Action Comics #867 when Brainiac’s made a sun go super nova. while superman was knocked out he servived with no real physical damage, and that fact that he was at ground zero is impressive IMO. Plus Dc has stated superman to have the most powerful will in DC universe.

I m not saying superman wins, I just saying it would be closer then most think. Current Thor would beat superman, but can he do it if you factor in superman will with a GL ring.

I know of all his upgrades he's also smarter iirc but still he fights with his heart not his brain. Superman has the will no doubt but he doesn't know how to use his abilities like he should. Look what Batman did with his powers 😬

Iceman's bringing up some good points here.

If this is the Thor we saw in v3, then it is a much more even fight than I originally assumed.

When and where? I was under the impression all the earth GL's (especially Hal) had greater willpower than Superman. Hence the whole "you have been chosen above all others" part to the drafting of the GLC.

Superman has greater willpower than the people who were chosen to weild arguably the greatest weapons in the universe (which run on said willpower)? That's kinda stupid if DC has stated that on panel as it completely undermines the Green Lanterns.

Yeah, I don't understand why I just made that post.

Even a 6 year old would be capable of creating giant scissors and boxing gloves like Hal and Kyle does nowadays. If we're going by the forum Superman versus the lanterns that Johns write, Superman could take out the corps on his own most likely, at least when it comes to inventiveness 😆

I think Superman would go for straight forward constructs and useage of the ring if anything. Boosting his physical might would definetly help him against Thor, but Thor boasts physical power (OF aside) to break through constructs and absorb energy from the ring. I think Superman would have to get creative in order to solidify a win for him, but I doubt he would be very imaginative at the beginning which would be detrimental to his chances.
