It's not a new product. It's a Google branded HTC Passion running Android 2.1 (probably). It's going to be a great phone, but considering the hype it is sadly underwhelming. It will be interesting to see if and how it will be sold to end users.
I personally am more interested in the rumored Apple Tablet, which might be the necessary step to finally make tablets a valuable alternative and the upcoming Google Chrome OS. This phone so top of the line will not be a game changer, imo.
