Ferris Bueller

Skipping school has never been this much fun.

This has got to be one of my more favorite flicks by the late John Hughes. Ferris Bueller (played by Matthew Broderick) is a Chicago teen who decides to fake sick and spend the day touring Chicago with his neurotic best friend Cameron Frye and his girlfriend Sloane Peterson.

With his principal on his tail and his sister determined to show that he's faking, Ferris shows that he doesn't give a crap so long as he has a good time...and that he gets away with it.

For that we give mad props to Ferris.

I actually skipped school one day and watched it.

Ferris working the crowd over with his rendition of The Beatles' 'Twist and Shout.' Now that's charisma, having half of Chicago to join in.
