Am not going to talk abot the film but only the ship itself which is 98 years old and still at the bottam of the sea

Cool beans, dude. I don't think it is going to go anywhere. I touched a segment of the hull that they brought to the surface, once. It was weird.

The last survivor died in mid-2009.

Millvina Dean was 97-years-old, died on the anniversary of the Titanic's launch.

Hmmm, interesting that she died on the day of its launch...she was lucky to survive

It's because it was a pretty big deal back in 1912 when it first came onto the scene. Largest ship of its kind to date, with new technology that caused it to be deemed unsinkable, maiden voyage with some rich and famous people onboard... and then an iceberg killed it on its first journey and nearly everyone involved died.

Same reason why people remember the Hindenberg. Big and new and shiny, then boom.

I remember watching that part in class and we were in year 8 (grade 8) and when that part happened everyone gasped

I'd give anything to take a voyage to the wreck site before everything's gone. Unfortunately it won't always be there and will eventually collapse and become more rubble than it already is.
