If Sentry fought at his best and Thor did it wouldn't be that far off. You can't kill the Sentry at this point.

You don't have to kill him to win. All you need is a KO. Sentry is the wild card here, because we just don't know how powerful he is yet. I think everyone is pretty much in agreement that we need to see more of him before we can make a reasonable argument either way.

Also the flash pretty much nulifys the entire Avengers team with possibly the exception of the sentry.

Easier said than done. The Sentry also wanted to be put down by the Hulk. He knew he lost control.

The flash wouldn't have a chance against this team.

It's his power. I don't see the problem. Lots of characters are plot devices and the Sentry happens to be one of them. The Sentry scares the shit out of his entire team because he's that friggin powerful.
