Probably not, so who gives a shit. uggh

Pretty much as he destroyed matter and unleashed energy to "melt" Tundra as he mostly consists of ice and snow.

Once again Tundra doesn't feed off of energy, so its not really that impressive at all and ignored some pretty key points of Tundra's power even in avatar form. So context as much as you don't like it here is relevant.

Why would you compare Nate’s Energy to the Quantum Zone? Short answer Annihilus did not absorb the energies of the Quantum Zone, just what Elvis and the stored in the Quantum Bands. :/

the q-bands are open-ended conduits. they don't 'store' a set amount of energy. not saying he drained the entire q-zone, but obviously he drained enough, FAST enough that quasar couldn't prevent the overflow of energy from destroying him. and if he basically overloaded quasar and his control (and we've seen the extent of quasar's energy control) there is no reason at all he couldn't completely or significantly, drain nate.

annihilus. until nate defeats someone on his level, i'll have to go with the bug.

“Pretty much” is not a good enough answer, that simply dresses your reply to remain objective, with out addressing the objection. You need to give me a direct answer, for us to use a common reference.

So I will ask you again. Did Madison Jeffries overload Tundra?

You mean to tell me, the avatar that grows in power eventually becoming nearly 100% in a set amount of time. Can not handle Nates energy, because its not his thing?

Yes, the energy released (heat in this case) destroyed the avatar as it was to much.

No, because its an avatar (not even the real Tundra as the real one controls the avatar in the Realm of the Beasts) and wasn't 100% in power and Tundra doesn't asborb energy thats not his power. Not hard to understand. This is Guardian trying to use energy on Tundra, what X-Man even did is considered PIS

Regardless Nate was pretty much out of commision afterwards as he said had nothing left. Madelyne Pryor was going to give him energy to stay alive as he commented to her don't do it and let him die in the snow. So its not like that is a realistic tactic for X-Man regardless

Leo...i think your wrong in that the quantum bands are not always open....he needs to open the pathway....and they do store quantum energy...when in the new universe..he was cut off from the quantum zone...and was afraid he would drain them......now this leads to a problem i have had with the comics...why not just absorb the suns energy or cosmic rays, steller energy?(as he has done numerous times)....i think he needs quantum energy to make the bands function...i.e quantum jump....contructs....and yet he can absorb and redirect lots of different energy?....and its all for the story...just like anihilius....it happened because they wanted it to happen.....maybe if i get a chance i will go thru my collection..i have every appearence of quasar...somewhere..lol....its just not very organized!

Hold on. The bands do store a set amount of energy, that actually stated in Annihilation Quasar. And yes they are also open conduit, but only when Elvis decides to tap into more of it.

But that’s not the point, Annihilus drained what Elvis had at that given moment. That’s why I pointed out that drawing reference to the quantum zone and comparing it to Nate is silly. Nate’s power has been scaled, and charted as being limitless. Unlike Elvis, and his Quantum bands, Nate’s energies are internalized. Annihilus runs the risk of overloading himself, from draining this particular Omega Mutant.

Now that energy drain has been brought, what keeps Nate from draining Annihilus mental energies?

Aren't we all jumping the gun in assuming the CCR can be overloaded? Has this happened on panel before?

Actually members are jumping the gun, if they think X-Man will simply stand their and allow the Bug to drain him.

but how do we know he wasn't tapping into the q-zone's energy? how do we know anni simply absorbed the 'stored' energy that was held within the bands? and just how do we quantify the amount of energy that they store?

he MIGHT be able to drain his mental energy. i'd need scans showing him doing it. as for the ccr being overloaded--it hasn't happened before (and was in the process of absorbing the whole nova force) and beyond that, hasn't rogue temporarily drained nate, and stryfe as well? the ccr could certainly weaken nate enough to make him easy pickings for someone on anni's level.

I don’t think Rouge has ever Nate.

Styrfe did, but he counted on both Dr. Dooms equipment, and his Pyramid (Celestial Tech) to properly focus those energies.

In Dark X-Men #2 he drained the entire HAMMER Psi division. This only adds to Nate’s Haxed abilities. With a telepathic contact, not only do you run the risk of mind rape, but mental drainage as well.stoned

Damn now that I think about it, even characters with superior raw speed no longer hold an advantage (Superman or Flash).

pretty cool feat. not sure i agree with the speed issue, but not really the place for the discussion. and was pretty sure rogue did drain him, but i could be wrong. i thought it was the equipment doom used to drain ss's powers? don't recall the celestial tech.

anyway, like i said--not even sure WHAT it would take to overload the ccr, but he wouldn't have to drain ALL of nate's powers to weakne him enough to kill him. i guess he migth be able to drain his mental energy. still not sure about that. he is a bug afterall, with a pretty warped mind, but maybe. barring that, i can't see nate taking this though.

But speed is relative…maybe not right now, but it will be brought vary soon.

Stryfe inherited Apocalypse equipment, as you know his equipment is of Celestial orgin. That floating Pyramid is one of them. If you refer back Messiah War, it states his Pyramid is actually Celestial technology.

So yeah you have to factor in both Doom and Celestial tech to help absorb and regulate Nate’s energy.

Hehe. Remember how I mentioned speed is relative? Apparently its irrelative to Nate.

Nate can fight in between moments, out of time in the “Planck Length”. Shit that is nuts! To make matter worse, besides having the raw power to put down Annihilus, Nate can manipulate time on the whim.

PIS free, I don’t see how Annihilus can counter that. Nate will put Annihilus to sleep. stoned

Shameless plug, in the middle of an X-Man respect thread v2
