^ But to be accurate, Blue/Green Hal was a mess who only managed to utilize the blue ring's power by accident. Frankly, his combat effectiveness with the GL ring was compromised with his possession of the blue ring.
It's reasonably arguable that he would be able to defend/heal himself and Guy from the RL ring's destructive effects/influence. But not definite. And presently, Guy is demonstrating far greater control over the RL ring and better synergy with the RL/GL rings in tandem than Hal did.
Also... this is Guy Gardner. uhuh
Hal with the Blue and Green ring was a beast. He never did reach his potential with it. He wasn't able to wield the blue ring and the green ring at the same time, but nevertheless, was still very powerful. In this fight, he HAS a HUGE advantage. He is unaffected by the red rings fire aura, or the attacks from guy also. Why? Saint Walker fought many Red Lanterns without any Green Lantern around him, but his defense was still strong enough to avoid any damage.
At this point, Guy has better control with his rings, he can use both at the same time, or any other way he wants. In the end, he still can't beat Hal

Originally posted by xJLxKingWhether Hal would be completely unaffected by the RL ring's attacks is arguable as Saint Walker utilized shields, which BL/GL Hal couldn't do. And let's face it, from all appearances, it looked like Atrocitus had Saint Walker on the ropes. But what's inarguable is that Hal'd still get knocked around by Guy's GL ring attacks.

And that any GL attacks/shields that Hal could bring to bear, would dissolve immediately from the RL's discharges.
