Imagine a cosmic amalgam character with the following powers:
Darkseid's Omega Effect and Matter Manipulation
Thanos's Durability
VV Despero's Strength and telepathy
Makkari's Speed
Circe's Magic
Apocalypse's Teleportation and Size Manipulation
Mantis's Energy Absorption
Vril Dox's Intellect

Now pit him against the following team:

Current Superman
Current Thor
Silver Surfer
Martian Manhunter
Wonder Woman
Orion
Gladiator (full confidence)
Captain Marvel (Billy)
Sentry (pre-DA12)
Hulk

The battle takes place in the orbit of Neptune, all members of the team have Legion Flight Rings and can breathe in space (because Batman taught them how 😛 ). The amalgam has thirty minutes prep time and full knowledge of the team members' abilities.

Can the team win?

Well, Apoc at regular size has Hulk level strenght and gets stronger as he grows taller. Now imagine Despero with nearly Thanos level strenght having the ability to grow a few hundered feet!

He would break the planet by flicking it.

^ Uhh I'm pretty sure Despero's strength is >=Thanos'

take away Makkari's speed and the team has 7/10

w/ speed team 5.5/10 due to Superman

The amalgam is powerful but it still can't use all of it's best powers at once. With prep it might win more often then not. Without it would lose.

Cosmic Amalgam? Why not just call him/her GOD?
