The IG is nothing more than an amp, just like the Worlogog. It isn't even on the same realm of power as the LT.
BTW, The Source is arguably >= LT, if not by power then by importance.
The Spectre needed an amp from outside mages to deal with the Am who would be blinked out of existence against the ig in a heartbeat.
