Circe vs Loki

Who'd win between the two main magic-using god villains of DC and Marvel?

Circe, foe of Diana, possessor of the soul of Hecate, etc.?

Or Loki, brother and enemy of Thor, etc.?

I'd say Loki

Care to expand a little? Circe's a serious powerhouse who's not easy to take in with illusions, and has really versatile magic.

I figure whoever wins, it'll be a big knock-down drag out fight.

Circe because she's from DC.

Could be, but Loki is more durable and resilient, and has god like stamina and power reserves, so I think he outlasts her. He also packs a lot of sheer destructive power, not just illusions.

Circe can take hits from Diana and keep in the fray, as well as use her magic to boost her strength/toughness, I think she's normally the tougher.

They are both gods all around, including stuff like endurance.

And yea, it wouldn't be much fight if Loki didn't have a lot more than illusions 🙂

I'd give the edge to Circe, magic-wise; ironically, Loki's majority wins come from the fact that he is *physically* very superior to her. If he uses his powers to mitigate her magic, he gets the majority from simply wailing on her -- she has a small degree of superhuman endurance, but nothing that can stand against "typical" asgardian strength/speed.

Magic vs. Magic: Circe 6/10
Overall Fight: Loki 7-8/10

Circe IMO.

Physical infirmities aren't exactly relevant to anyone with magic on a god's level.

I made this thread a while ago, and Circe got the most votes. But Loki IMO due to being more resilient.

Probably based on the fact Loki can get his head severed from his body and just place it back on.

I'm not sure where people are getting the idea that Circe isn't supertough physically... I've seen Diana kick her in the head *before* she boosts herself with magic 🙂 She has quite a bit of deific toughness too.

Old school Circe (PC) would walk all over Loki.

Loki's taken on 3 Thor level beings at once and done alright.

He wins, in a good one.
