Even without magic I can see them taking him down for a majority, provided it's pre-crisis magneto not fraction's version. And beyond magic, Doom's supposed to be something of a reality warper after clyde.

Pre HOM Magneto doesn`t need Doom to take down supes. Doom can also do it on his own, at least if he still got the reality warping abilities from MoD.
