Sparda vs. Sephiroth

Who wins this?

Not sure how many solid feats Sparda as when you try and rate him, you could probably assume he is at least as quick, strong and powerful as Dante, perhaps a little more as he defeated all of hell and then imprisoned them.

Plus he has Yamato, seeing as how it was one of his swords to begin with, and would know how to seal Sephiroth in another dimension. I like Seph, but Sparda is better.

We never see Sparda do anything. We only hear about him.

I'm guessing he's as powerful as Dante's Sparda Trigger. If that's how he is, he has superior sword range, can go DBZ on Sephiroth with his projectiles, and seal him away.

I get the feeling that with the sealing ability, it's gonna get annoying in here. The ability to seal Sephiroth is banned from this thread.

What about using Yamato's ability to send out a cresent like attack that travels very far, very fast, and still slices through the demon gate like butter.(DMC4)

Exactly how impressive is it destroying this demon gate? I haven't played DMC games so I wouldn't know this. I know what Sephiroth can do and he slices sky scrapers and giant cannons like they're nothing.

Hard to judge, the only video on youtube is a 2 hour compilation of all of DMC4's videos. From my experience with Crisis Core though, I wouldn't say it was as impressive as the Sephiroth vs Angeal and Genisis. Actually, I had forgotten about that entirely.

Sparda has no feats, and we can only go by what the games and characters say about him.

Sephiroth wins by default 🙂

I know that Sparda's power level is tough to gauge given that he's not actually shown in the games (except DMC3 but I don't really count that since it was Arkham who took on his form), but it would seem to be around Dante's sparda form in terms of power. adding in Yamato makes him even more of a threat.

and every demon that knew him has remarked at least once as to his power and Mundus himself has gone up against Sparda and lost and that was after Sparda fought his way through Mundus's legion of demons.

Well, to be fair, I haven't seen anything impressive from Mundus. :l

The blade, not including the hilt, is the same height as Sephiroth- 6'2.

Yeah it can cut from further distances then Sephs.
