New Conan Movie

Since no one does'nt want to change the title of the other one i start up a new thread

So we have Jason Momoa From Stargate Atlantis cast as Conan

and now

Mickey Rourke Confirmed as Conan's Father Source:Heat Vision February 24, 2010

Heat Vision has confirmed a Latino Review scoop that Mickey Rourke (Iron Man 2) is in negotiations to play Conan's father in Lionsgate's Conan, to be directed by Marcus Nispel.

Filming on the fantasy action adventure, in which Jason Momoa plays Conan the Barbarian and Leo Howard a younger version of the character, will start in Bulgaria on March 15th.

The story sees Conan embark on a quest to avenge the slaughter of his people.

Should it even be here? This forum is for properties who's origins are comic based. Conan comes from literature; just because comics on him have been done for forty years doesn't make him a comic character.

Well this part of the forum does'nt seem to have a rule like "Character/s has to have started off in a comic".

I'd only grant, a lot of fans are familiar with Conan because of the comics related work. But this really should be in SciFi/Fantasy.

I'm just doing my part, cause people panned me for starting another thread when one was created. i already started this but it was in sci-fi/fantasy.

this movie will suck! Jason Momoa as Conan?? come on what a bad choice. and Mickey Rourke as his father??? if it's true another craptacular decision.

Marcus Nispel is the director.
His output - remakes of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday The 13th, and Pathfinder. 😘

My expectations could only be lower if it was Uwe Boll doing this.

Rouke will be fine, its the other stuff I am worried about.
