Kinda, but I think Geoff has a different approach. I think he's pure darkness, the oppposite of Light. Or the Entity. The one who birthed the universe.

No. I think Nekron isn't death. He isn't GEB either. He is the guardian where the Souls go before they go to Hell or Heaven right. He could be death itself, manifested in a guardian

Of course..

The Source is but a part of The Presence.

But it is the fundamental energy/force that binds all of DC's universes together, and the source of life and death... unless DC retcon/has retconned it.
