USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (LIGHT SIDE)- Harmony

Lets cover some points for Team Nerd.

All four of us have Savoir-Faire or Lying, which will help us keep our impersonations more believable.

Seeings as this this area use to have some very Sithly influence, Jedi Lore would be helpful for team Nerd, which Jelena and Vera have in spades.

Observation would be nifty for searching, which Jovan has covered.

Perhaps we could Persuade any Library staff to help us, Wentar can handle that with ease.

Fix-it might help us navigate the Library systems or even look up with Adelmo had searched, Jelena would be best suited for that, but Wentar has a small amount of it.

For part 1 and 2, could Thea or her Lady in Waiting Educate us on how their culture is run? What is expected of the males, are we talking about a seen and not heard thing here?

Would Vera be able to pass off as a dwarf? Is there such a thing as little people on this planet?

I dislike the team name... I prefer it to be called "Jovan and his posse". 😉

Craft: unless the thread Archival Records (Character Reference) is wrong, I have Jedi Lore 4 (I know I have) while both Vera and Jelena have 'only' 3...

You're right about getting a cultur-crash course. For instance, are males allowed to look things up at all? Heck, are we even allowed in a library, a place of knowledge and thus power?
Are there certain topics that will make alarms go off?
How do we log in? Can foreigners do this? If not, can we use Lady Thea's log in all at the same time?
Are there camera's who can catch us? We might get into trouble then...

How the hell did I miss that? 😛 My bad Jovan.

I'm less worried about cameras unless we break cover or they have some silly 'forbidden' section.

Thea can give you the basics, but passing off culturally will come down to Savoir-Faire rolls in the end. Talking to most people will also need Languages.

Males can talk; no problem there.

Can I do, for instance, observation rolls and give pointers to others?

Sure.

So can we get a general layout of the Library from Thea?

Indeedy; that's not a problem.

Alright, how does the library operate? As in do you just walk in, browse around and leave when you're done or is it more stricter then that?

It's not a public library, so you'd need a story.

I'm envisioning this ice prison sort of like the final levels of Half Life 2...
Sounds doable as long as we don't do anything stupid.

(Ok, yeah Andro should probably go on the jailbreak since fighting is an auto-fail for the Library mission. I don't have any relevant language or savior-faire either so I'm usless there. Oh, and Merry Christmas everyone! The next three days are pretty hectic for my family, so today may be the last I 'see' of any of you 'till next week.)

Do they check up on what we look at or do they want a story and after we are let in, they leave us alone?

It's not a high security facility, so they won't constantly monitor you.

(I think if you look normal and act normal, they probably won't bother you. Blend in, maybe look like you're browsing for a bit; don't beeline straight for the gold? Have innocent, simple (read: boring!) answers ready for why you're there just in case someone asks. Just my thoughts.)

Andro's right. If you stay cool you should be able to get in and out with no problems.
I'll be going on on Team Jock.

Yeah, a reason why we're there is good. I'm thinking we say we're doing a bit of research on history, unless Thea thinks that'll raise some red flags.

Also a 'where we're from' would be a good thing to know in case we're asked.

About being cool... that's all nice and ... cool, but we really need to blend in so we need to know in detail how males/females behave. For instance, if a woman barks something at you, do you stay silent and lower your head or do you nod or what?

Perhaps the story should be that we are looking at something that's related and then "stumble" upon the info we need?

It's not a society where men are the mindless drone slaves of women. Women rule here and by general standards men are discriminated against in things like the job market but they have all the general rights of civilisation. You'd have to show deference if a Lady talked to you, but that's out of respect for her position as an agent of Harmony rather than just because she is a woman. But Thea doubts you will see a Lady- there aren't many and they are all busy.

OK, then now perhaps we need to focus on the story we must present?
