Well, one issue is here is that with comms down they are unable to contact the central authorities, so rght now they are taking orders from the three beings you have been introduced to- the Telanian, his aide and the Hutt.

I'll activate my lightsabre and move towards Xeth's vault destructions.

I've got Vera, Ti, and Iffa all heading toward me right now. Jovan joining in on that might be overkill.

Just in case it is relevant... I want to use Intrusion to ambush the battle droids when I arrive, Ush. If possible.

They are moving towards where Xeth was. Seems they are deploying a little slower than you may have feared- they emerge every other turn.

Xeth is free to move away... and Vera is all ready to attack! You can jump down and egt a surprise attack for a turn where no-one will return fire, Vera, though note more will come next turn.

Whenever I bring a new person into a fight, let me know what your starting schtick choices are if need be.

The Telanian does it for Jelena. She realizes she was having a moment of selfish weakness. She ignites her lightsaber.

"Come, Padawan," Jelena says. "We fight!"

Jelena will jump into the battle, landing on a battle droid and splitting it in twain.

Vera-Kin gets into position to launch her ambush on the droids. When she notices Xeth fleeing the area, she nods in approval; he has another battle to fight, if his opponent can be found.

She comes in low and unexpectedly slashes through the legs of a pair of battle droids as they emerge from the vault. She then uses the Force to make them fall harder than they would, smashing them against the ground.

(OGu CL RF, standard attack on the droids)

Having misunderstood his student, Gallagher mentally kicks himself and gives D'an more credit than he had been.

"We need to figure out what her target is, or was," Gallagher says. "She won't be near any of the vaults the droids are deploying from, which can narrow things down..."

What vault is Gallagher by? I'm surprised it took him so long to get to his anomaly...

Can we narrow down vaults that are not droids, not anomalies, and fit her usual thefts?

Yup!

How many locations are we left with?

Unfortunately you don't know where all the anomalies and ruled out areas and droids are etc.

We should have made a map. This will be much easier when comms are back online, but she will probably be gone by then.

I'm running short on ideas here. If Gallagher were able to navigate, he would be able to find her, I'm sure.

Xeth will keep retreating from the fight, happy to let Vera-Kin dismantle the bastards.

Maybe if we were able to get access to the system from the Repository, but it's probably offline.

Well those of you who stayed behind would have been able to do that. But unfortunately Roan is wasting time fixing the droid instead of trying to find Katai which is, again, precisely what she wanted.

The thing about saying that you must never fall for something again is that you do actually have to re-think your general approach to things, else you will keep doing the same things over again. It should be pretty clear by now that Katai knows you are all here so you should be thinking "What is she trying to get us to do, and so what can I do in contrast?"

You are committed to stopping the droids though- that's being the good guys for you.

Wanna bet Katai has the controls for the droids?

Roan- unless she has totally knocked out everything, you might be able to check the security system to see which vault she robbed. Otherwise, you should get comms back online for us, rather than messing with the droid.

Xeth- yeah, some sod shut all that off. That was pretty much the last thing you heard (from Wentar) before everything went nuts.

Xeth- droid control units are many things but, at this point in time, small and handily portable is not one of them.

Indeed, judging by what they said when they emerged, they are not being controlled at all; the are following a preset programme.

(That still needs a control unit though- just a preset one)
