Oh thank God, I thought you two would insist dragging his corpse back to Epireus.
Please,

Xavier would think of a better plan then dragging him 😛

I'll need a final decision by the end of the day!

"So your strength in the force is a match for Kuylen's, I get it. If you are so gifted what on earth could you possibly want with me? What is it that you see as my two rare talents?"

"A match? A match?"

There is another great crashing sound as she lets a hand go. SHe extends another and blasts you into the wall with a burst of power you have never seen or dreamed of. You are pinned up against it.

"Kuylen's strength was NOTHING. He's a brute.. A heavy. His reputation based on the blade. I can command powers that would have the fabled Jedi Council on their knees. I can teae this ship to pieces and reconstruct it at my whim. My very [i[thoughts[/i] have driven this world insane- I had but to think of the riot and it happened. And I could kill you with there merest moment of attention. That is all it would take. One tiny, tiny thought and you would be no more. When your associate Galder drew hs blade on me, I destroyed it with such a thought as a casual warning to those who think the could ever present the slightest threat to me. Kuylen was powerless before me.

"Do you understand now, little girl?"

"Yeah I get it! You've made your point." say's Edana, slightly dazed and wishing she wouldl put her down. "You're right i can see that Kuylen would have been powerless before you, as am I! Which brings me back to my question of why on earth you could have a use for a comparatively powerless child like me."

There is a clattering sound to one side the Seer has scattered her stones on the floor. Adelmo looks over and the Seer raises an eyebrow. Adelmo lets you go.

"Your two advantages are your talent in the Force... and that you are a woman," she says, with some feeling. "And despite all that is said on that matter, your philosophy is entirely descended from the Sith and women were at a disadvantage in that culture. To thrive despite that makes you something different. I could make a lot out of that."

Glad to back on her own two feet, Edana tries to recover what is left of her dignity and is quietly curious about what the Seer has seen in the stones. "Being female has never held me back. Most men like to see it as a disability - I have found that cretinous assumption in itself usually works to my advantage"

"Good," says Adelmo. "Then I think your days of aimless wandering should now come to an end."

feigning offense Edna says "Who says I have been aimlessly wondering?" then she looks at the Seer "yeah forget I said that!"

"How can I be sure my purpose lies with you? I have no intention of blindly following another master who gives me no answers" she says, not risking mentioning Kuylen's name again. "I've wasted too many years of my life in search of answers that never came" Edna pauses to reassess what Adelmo said and the rather vulnerable situation she now realises she is in and questions Adelmo rather directly "Are you suggesting this or demanding it?"

"Neither," says Adelmo. "It's a little late to be teaching you now. I was rather thinking you should join up with Galder's merry band."

Edna almost laughs. Galder's merry band makes them sound like a bunch of incompetant misfits she thinks to herself.

"And you see that as being where my purpose lies?"

Adelmo turns to the Seer.

"Alone you will never amount to anything," the Seer says. "Attempt to become more than you are and you will die. The group offers protection. One thing they have done more than anything else is survive- despite their almost suicidal habits of decision making."

"And it is those habits I need changed," says Adelmo. "My dear Edana- I am convinced they need you."

Edna thinks about what must have been going through their minds when they decided to get themselves thrown into an inescapable prison. "I doubt I could have any influence on the choices they make. They have no reason to listen to me. Galder maybe, but the others have never so much as heard of me. And why would you want to shape their decisions? What is in it for you?"

Edna pauses "Or for me even?"

"Having them available suits me. The galaxy is short on useful agents. I think you can affect them more than you realise.

"Hey are also looking for Kuylen, by the way, alive or dead. He has something they and I need. I thought that might interest you.

"I can also make it worth your while..."

Edna's head is suddenly filled with questions, but somehow she doubts she will get any answers from Adelmo.

" Is Kuylen alive? Or are they searching for a corpse? And what is it he has? If you want them to listen to me then I need to understand what it is they and you are looking for" Edna hesitates "And I'm interested in how you could make it worth my while!".

Adelmo hesitates before answering. She turns to the Seer, who shakes her head.

"Hard to tell with someone like Kuylen," she says. "His presence is shrouded, and he has spent his life constantly creating an uncertainty of life or death. These things have thematic strength. Regardless, he has the key to a lock, and they hope to find it in the prison. We have a deal in which they find if he is there, in return for which I will get them out.

"And I can arrange many things- security, money... join with the group, and you will gain whatever benefits I offer them."

Since we just spent several turns saving Chunn, let give him that cannister! Otherwise this would be an example of this horrible decision making making that Adelmo spoke of.

And damm that sexist Adelmo!

"And don't join the group and I head back out to riot, an agent wanting my head on a platter and more aimless wondering right? Doesn't appear to be much choice. I guess I'll join them. For now."

Well, at this point, may as well give them air.

And pfft, hardly sexist, considering that men pretty much run the galaxy.
