"You're not saying you were taught by the Jedi surely? I know they test them young but I didn't think they knew from birth".

"My world is far, far beyond the Jedi Republic," she says. "We're marked before birth." She plays with her hair. "And we all show the mark of our calling."

I think Gallador should leave the girl talk to the girls.

"Wow your riddles really mess with my head! Do you mean a physical mark? And does that mean your powers are given to you and don't develop naturally? Sorry, I don't mean to ask so many questions. I'm just fascinated."

"Well, I was also trained from birth, the Jedi take the children based on their midichlorian count, is it similar among your people?"

"No-one learns that power," she says. "We all have to be born to it. But where I came from, far more are born so than you are used to. And we are not just born to having our power at all, but what we can do with it. They told me I was to be the greatest Seer in many generations. They wanted me to solve a problem for them. But I left before I gave them an answer."

Edana kicks melkor!!

Stop talking about the Jedi - she's really not interested. I'm trying to be subtle and take an interest in her to get her to open up. Seriously - leave it to the girl talk!

"What problem was that? And why did you leave?" Rianna asks. "For that matter, where are you from?"

😂

And yes, shut up about the Jedi, she's not one of them and not terribly interested either.

"Jedi Republic?" Rand asks. "Why do you call it such?"

Rand still wants to know more about Ranto's people and where they are.

You are asking too many questions at once, it will make her be wary.

"Should I not call it that?"

"I'm guessing you had the answer though right. But they weren't the ones that should know it"

At least I don't keep bringing up stuff she doesn't want to talk about 😛

"They didn't deserve my service. I was never given a choice in being or doing anything. Adelmo at least gave me the chance to decide something for myself.

"It's not a problem that has a simple answer. I do have some ideas... and those are what I told Adelmo."

I brough the Jedi to contrast how they are diffrent to her people, so there is some point of reference!

"Oh that sounds so familar. I've spent years searching for answers to my own problem and after finding many possible solutions, I don't think I'll ever have an absolution." Edana looks forlorn. "And are you still looking for an answer?"

"Yes, it is terrible when other people try to determine your destiny for you. As Lady Adelmo said, destiny is for what we make for ourselves, and with your abilities there are certainly many opportunities, even though the future is often confusing, right?"

Rand wants to contest that the Jedi are not actually in control of the Republic.

Somehow I get the idea that she's already aware of the fact that the Jedi differ from her, quite a bit.

"The future is a big place," says the Seer. "I'm still working on perfecting the answer."

"Perfecting the answer? There is more than one possible answer? You clearly aren't searching for the meaning of life then I guess."
