There is a precedent regarding kenobi, that shows him to become completely in tune with the force in pressure situations. He is then capable of things he isn't normally capable of. I like to think the events of TPM are because of that. Defeating Grievous, and Vader, it talks about how much he was in tune with the force, much like it says in The Phantom Menace novel.
Anytime we can close a PIS hole with a feasible explanation, i'm a fan of doing it.

Look at my post above, and then add to it: That Sidious wasn't moving at blinding speeds either in ROTS, but he was SUPPOSED to be. It took the audience suspending disbelief just a little to make it work. With Kenobi we have almost exactly the same situation.
