Pretty much. There were always 1-2 comic boards that absolutely hated us...I think there was one other at some point (the name escapes me atm). I remember once heading to herochat just for the lulz and I absolutely killed them with kindness and reason. A few were clearly disconcerted that I wasn't taking their bait.
"Better" is far too relative to mean anything. But eventually we overtook them in terms of numbers and organization. I actually modeled our respect forum after herochat's, and used it to help persuade the other mods to allow its creation, but ours became bigger and better cataloged eventually.
