1.) dr doom faces him with no anti mind-control and asks black to attempt to mind-control him (like he did to purple man)
2.) fight with no prep

Doom. duh.

Why're most British characters cool but most American ones lame?

i think it is just readers prejudice unless the writer of the character is actually british.
