Tbh, it sounds like SS would roll this. But it's also not out of the league of others who Spidey has beaten (and yes, I'm excluding Firelord). And the list of people who should've beaten Pete and didn't is longer than my J. Jonah Jameson (extra points for where that paraphrased reference is from). Just something to think about.

but all heroes are that way, taking people who should beat them. The problem here is I dont see parker doing much damage at all, SS has the range, the flight can melt the webbing and blast from afar, even if it comes to a mellee he can hold his own

Actually, he regularly uses his default webbing to shield himself from flames....it's incredibly fire resistant. Various authors may have depicted it as otherwise, but I know that he hasn't used fancy webbing to be flame-resistant because I posted numerous scans to that affect in the old respect thread I made of him.
