Green Zone

Watched this last night, what a chaotic film.

I normally don´t mind the wobbly camera technique like in the Bourne movies, but this was too much it actually made me nauseous especially near the end during the chaotic chase scene´s, didn´t know what the hell was going on.

It was also a bit unbelievable that some soldier can just decide to do what he wants, well maybe its different in the US military.

So it's basically Jason Bourne learns to recycle or something?

I had fun with this movie. I guess it's because i'm rarely bothered by shaky camera techniques but i didn't have a problem with it in this movie. At least, not with the motion. I did feel that the technique was overused at times. However, even though, at times, the shaky cam feels like a cheap exploit to induce a realistic tone there are other moments where it does work and adds to the intensity.

I would recommend the movie though. Like i said, some may have problems with the camera techniques but there is definitely some intense action here as well as a few interesting characters. It's nothing you need to rush out to see though, but i'd give it a two thumber up

I should really like this film but I dont want to think about Bourne when I watch it though.....I hope that doesnt happen.

Looks like The Bourne Vacation from the previews. 😛

And looks more a product of the studio system- meaning it looks stonger on formula elements - coming on the heels on the independently produced The Hurt Locker.

Nothing like Bourne. Not sure about the "wobbly" camera, seemed very minimal to me in this film.

But the "chaotic" close up camera near the end during the chase scene, with a bit of wobble was too much for me.

Its not like the Bourne series at all, except for the actor, director and a fore mentioned wobbly camera.

As I mentioned though, it is unrealistic especially to those who have served in the military. Soldiers, especially of his rank don´t just run about doing their own thing, piss their superiors off ect and get away with it.

I can agree with you on that part, about the rankings etc... But I want to see a good story and plenty of kick ass action. The details that are supposed to be true, I dont really mind for this type of film.

Well, Yeah, that's why people make movies. If you want a documentary go somewhere else. 😛

I don´t "want documentaries" (although do like them) but I expect movies which are of a serious manner and like this one contain a political message to a bit believable.

I really enjoyed Avatar but didn´t expect it to be based on reality, because it wasn´t that sort of movie for example.

But I get your drift you don´t like me nit picking, it is a movie worth watching though

This was ok, Matt didnt go all crazy like I was hoping he would. The Bourne films are still his best by far.

Just watched it, not bad.
